How do you flush out and change the manual fluid in the reservoir Under the hood? I am seeing some kind of contamination.

The MT has a drain and fill plug on the trany itself.
Remove the fill plug first, to ensure that you can put fluid in BEFORE you drain the fluid.
There is no reservoir under the hood for the MT. just brake and clutch
And the biggy here, search in the DIY thread and you will find a very good instruction guide on how to do this.

It's 2.2 and 1.3. Either way, fill it until it weeps out of the fill hole, then wait for it to stop trickling out.

@F1point4 wasn't kidding about the transmission fluid shooting out sideways, either, so be ready for that. I cut a half moon chunk out of the side of a 1L water bottle and pointed the mount of the bottle at my drain pan. That let me catch the initial rush of fluid and redirect it down to the pan.

You know... One could put in a reservoir if one was so inclined...

I'm not so inclined, but it is a thought.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

I'm not sure on the exact differences so maybe someone else can help fill that in. Yes you can use it, but some do not use it in the trans.

No you don't need the LS version. See reply below:

This works to the users advantage too, because instead of having to buy 2 liters LS for the differential, and 3 liters for the transmission (5 liters total), you can just buy 4 liters of the same product.

The part of this DIY that explains how to remove the fiberglass plate under the trans should be fixed.

It says to remove only 7 bolts that are in a U formation on the plate (based on the picture), but along the top/front side there are a row of bolts (4 or 5) that also need to come off. If you only take out the 7 bolts as the DIY says, the plate is still attached, dangling from the other (metal) plate. Once you take out the additional 4-5 bolts, you can then remove the fiberglass plate without taking off the metal plate.

It's not hard to figure out but just to prevent people from scratching their head.
