Since I sold my last fun car, I take my tundra up to GMR / Azusa frequently LOL. Normally carry a jack, tools, and a tow strap. So if anyone ever seens a dark green tundra on black wheels (TE37 reps) w/ 33" all terrains and needs help, that's me!

LOL.

We all do it for the same reason, and it's no fun when you have problems, so why not help out since I don't get to have the fun anymore? Workin' on making a new set up in my bed since I'm going long travel. Once the bed cage is in it'll have a jack/shovel mount, tool box mount, and I'll always have a recovery strap.

My friend runs 86 Cup with you guys but with the way my car is setup, I would be in unlimited class with him. I don't agree with how the points are done but thank you for the invite.

Throw some RS3 on cheap 17x8 wheels, remove wing.. and you'd be in street class. It'd also make you faster on the straights. You just happen to have too much grip for your power levels.

You'd be shocked where your mods would put you in SCCA Solo or NASA TT...

I think people are too consumed with being competitive in a specific class, rather than just coming out to hangout and run with a large pool of 86 drivers. It's much more entertaining to run what you have and attempt to build more skills from there. I've worked with too many people who get so stuck at "trying to be competitive" that they spend time messing with their cars and talking about it more than just going out there to have fun. More importantly, safety and fun are what's emphasized at 86CUP rather than outright times in a specific class.

Is there a hierarchy to event regisration, or can you participate in any one event? I'd love to come out to an 86 specific event in the coming months once I get mine back from the repair shop...

You can show up to any event... no need to register for the year or anything. It's all pretty informal.

Join group SoCal Lateral G. We do both canyon runs and post track day events that members might be interested in. So there's always someone from the group you can go with.

86 cup is also a great event to learn the car and have fun with other twin owners.

Like @juliog stated, you can sign up one event at a time. It's more of a place to drive, have fun, and have friendly competition with other folks with the same platform. It's a relatively safe place to learn and explore the car's limits and also a place to learn more about your car with much less distractions of cars potentially coming in the same direction as you.

Side note, a lot of the 86CUP guys are really avid canyon drivers so sometimes they take the special way to the track.

Is it one person running at a time or everyone running?
