Yea the permatex I have is a liquid teflon sealant....should be ok to use I suppose

Been reading up lots on the installation as I plan to tackle this myself, so I'm sure I'll have a lot more question coming

@gdrider77 how has your avo kit been holding up since dealing with the leaks issues you had last year? I believe you and @Sportsguy83 used thread sealant?

When I get around to install mine, I'd sort these potential issues when everything is still off the car.

As for the coolant hoses, would fuel injector clamps be better than the worm gear clamps they supply?

I used thread sealant on the NPT threads of the kit.

Either way, overboost protection is fuel cut, and i would assume that all ECUTEK turbo tunes would have it
With the basic kit I don't see how either one of these issues can be addressed if the stock sensor only reads to ~5 psi of boost...

Correct, need upgraded MAP sensor for boostcut and EBC to be included in the tune.

Without an EBC and upgraded sensor (is the stage 1 kit) how is boost controlled, just wastegate spring pressure?

My suggestion was to not use sealant on AN fittings I would for sure recommend it on NPT threads, but not on AN or AN style (flare) fitting.

Yes they would be. If the hose is under pressure and needs a tightened hose clamp, then I would not use a cheap worm gear clamp that can damage the hose.

Ok got it. I haven't gotten the kit yet so can't check, but I think the oil lines provided comes assembled ready to use....straight into the NPT fittings.

Is anyone running the FBM rad and fan set up with the AVO kit? Looking to upgrade the stock rad and tossing up between FBM & Mishimoto and also wondering about clearances.

Cheers.

Yup, I'm running their rad, shroud, and fans.

The drivers side of the condenser will contact the intercooler pipe but you can either move the mount holes or live with a rad that sits at a very slight angle.
