7-11 /RANT

Today durring my lunch break I walked across and down the street to subway, got a sammich, walked back up the street to 7-11 to get something to drink.

I hadn't really thought of what i wanted to i browsed for a while...."oh look, white monster zero ultra, i haven't had one of them for a while. Oh great 2 for $4". I grabbed 2 white cans....all man like, both from the top with one hand.

Since it was lunch time, 7-11 was getting a little crowded, i wanted to hurry to leave. I quickly walked up and slid my card as the, crotchety looking, lady rang up my cans. As I finish my card/pin dance she hands me my receipt and yells "next" at the next guy in line. Great, grabbed the paper and my cans and walked out the door. I then spun my bag off my back to put one of the cans in the pouch....wait, why is one can top gold and one white. Upon further inspection it turns out that i grabbed the, white, monster that I wanted and a, white, rockstar(not a fan). Remember these cans were right next to each other with the 2/$4 sign right in front of them. I then looked at my receipt, $4.98

I know its not 7-11's fault that i didn't pay attention and grabbed the wrong can, but come on, put a different color in between them.

Would be a First World Problems post except you walked instead of driving. Taco Bell stole $1.30 plus tax from me when they forgot to put my brownie dessert in the bag this week.

I went to the 7-11 to get some beer. It was the last 12 pack of the beer I wanted. The package was slightly damage but I was like fuck it. I thought the bottles were jangling more than usual. Sure enough I went home it was an 11 pack. $@&%^@#

I went to buy one of those expansion packs. I paid for it and then came back later cuz I needed a 100 bill broken down.

The dude gives me back 95 and I didn't realize it until I was out the door and walking home. -_-

My bacon karma was returned today when it was added onto a chicken sandwich where it was not charged for.

I'm pretty stingy with my money. I used to lend money to family in the past. But eventually it turned into a charity with my name on it. I remember writing off $180 my parents promised me as a kid. They completely forgot about it and I still had records years afterward!

I cashed a check for $26.16 at a local bank recently. The teller gave me $5 less than they were supposed to. I never count money in front of people unless I am paying them. So I walked out to the car and counted it 2-3 times. Sure enough, $5 short. She neglected to give me a receipt of any kind so I had no proof of anything.

I bought a car off craigslist and gave the guy cash in an envelope. This guy called me after I left and said I shorted him $150. I almost had a panic attack so I said, "let me call you back." I counted it again in my head and remembered that I had counted it no less than 5 times before I gave him the money(three times at home and twice in the car). Then I realized that no matter how you count it. You cannot short somebody $150 if you pay them the exact amount using hundred dollar bills...

Oh god the brownies.. Taco Bell's best kept secret. They shorted me a quesadilla a couple of weeks ago and I was miffed, so I emailed customer service. Just got a "Any Item Free" coupon in the mail yesterday.

Could be worse. A few years back we went to McDonald's for breakfast and my wife ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. We got the order, started driving home, and she decided to check and make sure everything was right. Well, uh.. They forgot the bacon, egg, and cheese. They gave her a plain bagel.
