17x9 w/ 245/40, if your suspension can fit it! One of my favorite mods that I've done.

Hm... then that's a tough, cuz both size can fit 245~265 width tires, but 18's will cost more than 17's.

If you're in the tight budget, but want some kind of performance plus the looks, recommend going w 17x8 with offset 30~40 and get 225/45-17 tires. You can get decently cheap, but not bad performance tires. Just you might not like that, tires aren't wide as 245 or 265... but overall performance are good.

I'm currently running 18x8 +35 w 225/40-18 tires and it's good daily setup

But I kinda miss lightness and steering feel of 17's, so prob be going back to 17x8 +35 w 225/45-17 setup for daily again.

ichitaka05: but are your memories of 17x8+35, or of stock, of narrower & deeper offset? As in, if lightness was about how easy to turn wheel, maybe it was easier with stock wheels due less scrub radius, not so much wheel/tire weight .. so wondering, if width & offset will stay same, if you'll get what you wished ..

Both wheels are Type "A" face or less concave. So that doesn't factor in...

The website I looked at had the 17x9's at $707 and the 18x8.5's at $815 a set.

The 17x9 +40 will only have approx. 5-6mm of clearance to the spring perch. The 18x8.5 will only have 2.4mm more of clearance.

The 18.8.5+44 is considered flush in the front at stock height. The 17x9 will poke 10mm comparatively to the 18.

I would either go 225/45 or 245/40 for the 17's. For 18's I'd go 225/40 or 245/35 ( For some reason I'm not a fan of 235's.., unless 235/40/17)

I had 17x8 +40ish w 225/45-17 before my current 18’s & weight deference between these 2 were +-4 lbs per wheel (+Tires) making 18’s heavier. I do have stock wheels, which I’m using for winter set. Comparing old 17’s to stockers, aftermarket wheels were heavier cuz it’s wider (wheel +1” & Tires +10mm), but we’re talking bout less than .5 lbs difference. & steering feel wasn’t different as much as 18’s. Of course I had a bit more grippy tires than stock, but nothing crazy difference

If you don't get more dish on 9" wide tires I would go 17x8 with 225 tires. I have 17x9 with 245 and it is just overkill. Only reason I did the 9 is because in my wheel all the extra width appeared in the concavity of the face and made it much sexier.

Rota Titan 17x9e42. The 17x8 version is just over 15 lbs, but you lose almost all the dish.

Supercharger goes on soon so hopefully I will need the extra grip

The 17x9 Titans look amazing. Nice choice. I thought you were going to say RPF1 because the 9" are better looking than the 8". Titans are a great balance of cost, weight, and looks. They were on my short list of wheels.
