I wouldn't think it's the ecu relearning if @civicdrivr is still experiencing it after 450 miles...

The vanes are in the stock intake tubing right in front of the air flow sensor. I actually caught the bog in a log file, so I'm going to swap back to stock and do some comparison graphs. Honestly though, I think the air sensor is tuned to use the vanes, and intakes without them will have problems.

Stay tuned!!!!

The pic I took was just a quick pic I grabbed after installing with my camera phone.

The car needs a full wash and I will be busting out the Nikon D80 + Tripod after the car gets washed.

Hello mechaghost,

The Intake by itself does not cause any "bogging". The issue seems to be related to car's with aftermarket tuning, and in that regard, it's the tune causing the issue, not the intake itself. The Intake has been Proven on a stock car, so if other "modifications" are causing a driveability issue, the other modifications needs to be looked at.

Thanks,
David

But do you notice you have to give it more throttle than before? I'm also stock, and it feels like the amount of throttle I've been giving it isn't enough.

David, some people have posted bogging with 100% stock tunes.

Hello 2forme,

Interesting. That is not anything we experienced in our testing, nor any of the beta testers either.

A couple things to check would be:

1. make sure the battery has been disconnected so the computer can relearn. The car will need to be driven some miles for the computer to compensate for the new parameters.
2. Double check the installation to make sure all connections are snug and that the MAF sensor is mounted properly as well.

Thanks,
David
