I can't help but think the few glitches they've discovered in the 2013 production will be eliminated in the 2014. Plus I expect there will be a few small, minor design corrections such as the seat belt retainer, arm rest, perhaps third brake light, etc. that might be made. My sales rep. tells me the 2014 will be available in September. She has no information on updates or color changes. I've given her my pre-pre order for a 2014 if there are some changes I'm hoping for.

Someone told me today that they found an article last night they forgot to send to me, saying the 2014 would be stock supercharged, TRD, with 280 crank for just over 30k. As soon as i got a chance, i started searching. so far.. absolutely nothing. i'm thinking that he may be either full of it, or being plain evil as i never shut up about supercharging mine, or he read about a different car. Pretty sure if anything like that had been announced.. it'd be all over this forum and the web.

Shame on me for listening to him lol

TMCA bulletin for Australia only lists the BRZ spoiler as standard for the upper spec GTS and LSD for the lower spec GT. Also removal of Toyota badging on the boot. No mention of color changes or anything else significant.

Although a secret BRZ STI was complianced recently but no further details on what it has.

That's interesting - LSD for the lower spec GT Auto I presume? the Manual already has it. That'll make the GT auto we currently have bottom out in price like week-old fish.

Not trolling at all, as soon as he told me I started looking it up. Anyone else I wouldn't have given a single thought, but he's my one friend that's as much into cars as me. I was definitely surprised to find nothing even remotely related to what he had told me.

Anyway, as for 2014 model rumors, I no longer have my scion contact that I got all the info about the release series from before the fact. My guess is that the 14 will have a few of the updates that the release series had ie: headlights, maybe push to start etc. But that's just my guess, nothing to back it up.

That's right kajun, the auto GT now gets LSD as standard. Not sure what Toyota will do for first year adopters who missed out - hopefully a token something.

Is the 10-series considered 2013 or 2014?

It's a limited edition 2013 model.

BRZ STI as complianced by DOI?

Unless they've got another compliance document under embargo, looks like the BRZ STI as complianced is just the "BRZ S" with the additional STI bits.

Since you're obviously a man in the know, was there any suggestion of interior quality improvements in MY14 vehicles in the bulletin? This had previously been suggested to me by a reliable source, who also confirmed the standard inclusion of boot spoiler on GTS.

The Canadian MY2013 10 Series doesn't come with the new "standard" 6.1" touchscreen, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least that the 2014 didn't get it in Canada they said there was a software issue for Canadians.

How credible them telling us there was a software issue is, i don't know because other members have said they've seen in on a 2014 TC. So they could just be BSing us.

Sorry jono, wish I had more info, but I've just gone from what my Toyota dealer has said and what I've heard from others. The only other thing I think he mentioned, and I need to be careful with my choice of words, but I think my dealer mentioned a change in the model code or something of that sort. Didn't sound to me like anything that important nor did it sound like a trim improvement.

Thanks mate! Model code change wouldn't affect us from an consumer point of view - just means that dealer systems reflect a new model code for each specific variant so that they can distinguish between MY13 vehicles sans spoiler and MY14 vehicles with spoiler, sans badge, etc.
