That's sort of what I was planning. I just want the damn motor and trans bolted up to the car so I can start working around it

Haha! Same. Talked with my friend who owns a shop/machine shop about it and says he can probably knock one of those hoses out quick. So I'll probably switch to the BMW one.

Also reminded me he orders CX Racing wholesale. So prices are cheap for him. Hopefully I can talk him into cutting me a deal.

it appears that the water pump that was on my motor is the same one they used... so now I have two water pumps. If anyone needs an unused ls3 water pump, hit me up. lol Just one of many mistakes ill make on this build. ha ha

where is the element tuning build thread? Lots of good info here. I'm kinda not liking the weight time for vorshlag either. :/

They have an instagram for it.

Monster86swap

Edit: Hopefully today doesn't set the mood for the rest of the week, been an interesting one for sure between talking with Element Tuning, issues as work, and dealing with my brother wrecking his car because he wasn't paying attention.

Element Tuning is telling me they can get the transmission in about a weeks time... Said the driveshaft is about the same wait time. Also offered to modify a CX Kit to work with the Magnum XL. They also have a few other parts they say help make the job a bit easier. Hearing a week wait time on a part I have been waiting 4 months for is a bit hard to swallow. Assuming Vorshlag actually gets back to me this time, depending on what they say, I may just cancel my order and get everything through Element. Funny how I was going to get my FA20 built by them before I changed to LS swap and may end up making an order through them anyway. Nothing against Vorshlag, just trying to do this in a timely manner.

Edit: Called Tremec just to see what lead times are on their side, 30-60 days but most suppliers should have product on hand. Starting to think my order was lost.

So is Element using the CX racing trans mount? Just the engine mounts? I wonder if they would sell their "version" of the mounts that are slightly worked.

Yes. They modify it to work with the Magnum XL. The CX Trans mount is made to run a T56 with GTO shifter. From what I understand they plan to have them available to order on the website here eventually.

Also Why wouldn't the cx racing trans mount work on the tremec XL? I thought all t56 mounts were the same?

Good question. Not sure. I imagine it comes from the extra length of the XL?

I really like the CX Racing for a bit more, it bolts to a 3" FRS/BRZ Exhaust. So it will bolt right up to my Greddy exhaust with little to no modification.

You'll like it until you try to install your plugs and wires and until you realize the piping is only 1 5/8th
