So when I installed the OFH, I was able to remove the stock header without unbolting the overpipe to frontpipe connection. When I went to bolt it up, I tightened the header to engine bolts, and the flange from the header to overpipe did not line up. I ended up having to disconnect the frontpipe to exhaust connection, realign, and then tighten that connection last.

I've also noticed more NVH since installing, due to tension in the exhaust. Does that sound normal?

I don't think I have enough experience with modding cars and NVH to determine if I have more. But I can say my OFH hasnt introduced any sounds I wasn't ready for, or that sound out of the ordinary.

There's a slight whistle/air moving noise I hear through the Rev range,
I put it down to less shielding than stock. Paranoid it was a leak at first haha

Thanks for the input @2much and @scarfo

I definitely hear a very faint bit of noise that's either slight rasp, or a slight leak. I'm also feeling the engine more through the pedals and steering wheel, maybe that's the nature of having no flex joints? @Shiv@Openflash

I finally had a chance to take the BRZ with its new OFH + Stage 2 tune to the track. At Pacific Raceways, my top speed at the end of the straight is up by 5MPH (125), which I consider quite impressive.

I'm in Lake Forest, about 10 minutes south of Irvine. Are you pretty deep in LA?

I work in Huntington so not terribly close. If you are ever going to be in the area and you want to check the sound on mine though, i'd be happy to

Ordered the OFH and waiting for it to arrive! Was wondering if you guys had any advice on which overpipe/midpipe to pair it up with. I currently have a HKS Hi-Power SpecL Lightweight Titanium Catback, HKS Premium Suction Intake and OFT. I plan on staying NA and was also considering getting the Crawford PBP. Noise is not really a concern either...

if you are planning on staying NA - you will find that overpipe and frontpipe replacements will cost a lot and provide very little practical benefit. The value in these exhaust pieces only comes out under FI, or perhaps if you are building up the engine and need the absolute maximum power.

i have that air moving noise but not much vibration and it's only really rumbly and loud during cold starts. my mechanic told me that everything lined up perfectly
