I thought you were referring to which button to hold, lol. The car doesn't need to be stopped. Try it and report back to me Its a "procedural" statement written by lawyers. I PROMISE you, you dont have to be stopped or even moving slowly. I would go take video right now and post it but my car is currently disassembled in my garage getting sound deadener installed, lol.

Thanks for confirming for me! I was gonna screenshot it but I was too lazy.
It worked! I pulled shift boot cover off and yeah, the cable wasn't plugged into the button housing. It clicked into place pretty solidly, I don't know how that could have come undone. The indicator lights now correctly appear in the gauge cluster when I hit the buttons. Thanks for the help!

I'm glad it worked out! Now all I need is Tcoat to report back with his findings for a complete victory!

If you don't have JUST the two yellow lights on on your dash (WITHOUT the green light) then you haven't found the correct mode yet.

no. try it and come back and you can say to me I was right : -)
i know exactly which mode you re talking about, do not worry

maybe your car is different. I have a 2017 and if i press 3-4 even 7 seconds the trc off button when speed over 30 mph, full-off mode doesnt activate. I know because I tried even 10 minutes ago

Since i m reading now you re car is unavailable, I guess i ll upload a video of it not working like you re saying

They must have changed it for the 2017 refresh. They did recalibrate the stability control for them. I'm not speaking hypothetically. I do it all the time in my 2015 on the highway. I've even done it at 50 MPH in the middle of an autocross run. I can report back in this thread with a video after the weekend if all goes to plan if you want hard proof, lol. 2017s suck!

I must admit I have never tried while moving and always just push it when stopped. Never bothered since the instructions say to be stopped so figured it wouldn't work.

Same here.. After almost 5 years it never occurred to me to try this while the car's still moving. I had to step out for a 10-minute drive just to try this (and also because it just starting raining, and this is the first time in a month I'll have a chance to drive in hard rain). Works like a charm!

Have to admit though, I've also never bothered to do the pedal dance to turn off the nannies. This does the same thing as the pedal dance, correct?

Nope. Pedal dance enters a diagnostic mode with additional features disabled (including-but-not-limited-to electronic brake force distribution IIRC).

I can put mine into sport mode while moving, but I can't turn the SC or TC off (the long press option) while moving. I have to come to a stop, long press THEN do my donuts.

Sport mode does affect the traction system. It is not as aggressive as having the system on the regular mode and changes the balance of the SC system to bias more to the rear. With the system in regular mode if you slide at all, it steps in and makes sure you don't. If you are in sport mode, you can kick the rear end out a little

Interesting. I have a 2016 MT and I have never been able to go full off while at over 30-something MPH (left button, long press). I always have to drop below 30MPH for it to work. Must be a difference in certain years.

Are you sure you held it long enough? Some others in this thread said the same thing, only to try it again and come back to this thread saying it worked.
