Is this rod knocking??

Hey guys,
120k frs.

After J02 recall.

Happens only in gear, warm engine, letting the car slow down in gear(no gas), around 1500-2000 rpm.
(dealer tried to tell me the noise is cuz engine is about to stall )
Or sometimes does this at cold star for few seconds.

Sounds only under these circumstances. Can't make the noise in neutral. No noise at higher rpm, or when giving more gas.

Why would the press care about a small number of failures in a very limited car?
If tens of thousands of Corollas started dying they may take some limited notice but they are not even interested in a couple of dozen botched repairs.

I just read an article on drivetribe and another site (I want to say Jalopnik).

Seems like it may pick up some steam among car enthusiast sites.
