What are your air fuels? You sure you weren't overheating the OEM header cats cuasing a good amount of heat pre cat.

I just went back to stock exhaust too. I felt like I was always shouting at everyone. I go to the track plenty (I've been averaging about twice per month this summer) but the car is driven on the street 99.9% of the time. I've built it for it's actual purpose, not it's "intended" purpose

either way, that's something I would never do even for street use only, once you drastically change your power output, you also need to make other drastic changes to keep the car in a good working order and "free exhaust flow" comes first in that list.. each his own of course

Nice! That's why you were in the hood! Pete was around too during lunch time, we were working on his car with the PBBs for several hours.

Is this thread for real?
A guy uninstalled and then re-installed an OEM manifold 3 times, another guy is claiming he couldn't wait to go back to OEM so he could smooth out the car. I am confused. |

maybe I could've been more clear, first time when this happened I thought it might be because of just bad luck or the restrictive factory cats or combination of both so I wanted to try without the cats this year and the same thing happened at the same exact spot, at that point I was sure it's the build/material quality .. I mentioned my reasons and why I preferred the OEM header instead of an aftermarket one and wanted to give another chance ...I also mentioned that the third manifold has been installed temporarily (until I receive my HKS ), we also learned that same thing can happen to a completely stock car,so would you consider running OEM manifold on the track -especially when boosted- and having that information in mind? that would be the question to ask I think
