Project continue

The project is back in full steam, well lets do a time line before this started. 2 years ago Nov was the first R&D on the 4age 16v/20v on wilow springs big track.

To last years chassis & suspension revamp, a lot of going back and forward talk and research.

To what is it now

Have you done any research into a 'WOB' linkage for the rear axle?

It's different than a Panhard rod or Watts linkage in that it can lower the rear roll center of the solid axle to quite a bit below the center of the pumpkin.

we did talk about options on different linkage but will stick to what we have right now just a whiteline pan hard, whiteline 4 links w/ a traction bracket, will see on the first time attack next year if we need to upgrade or its working fine.

Well thats up to you? Whats the condition of the chassis? Any accident? Body rust & how much you willing to spend or what your goal for the car is something to think about. Is it an SR5 or GTS? Alot of people got an AE86 back then and was shock on how much work you need to put to get the car back atleast on ok form. Colors is actually a small thing cuz you can always repaint it what ever color you wish, remember it dont mean its old its going to be cheap.

So true... That's why most of AE86 sold as project car. A lot of ppl think, it's cheap and easy to work on but reality , no. It takes a lot of time, effort, & $$$$ to make it the way that you think it should be. That's why a lot of ppl go for Miata. Less, effort & time to make more hp and have a lot of resources/parts. I'm not saying all the Miata is like that, but same money you spent on AE86 & Miata, you get a lot more hp/goodies out of it from Miata then AE86... but something different about AE86 more time & money you spent on AE86, you love em more and more. Well, with most car you spent time & money on, you get to love that car more than any other faster/powerful sports car out there.

Am I wrong on this?
