WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR BRZ TODAY?

No stock exhaust here lol. Borla UEL, ISIS over pipe, stock midpipe and Crawford gymkhana axel back. this was before the overpipe. Not much has changed as far as sound goes. It's a little bit more throatier now with the over pipe. I'm going in for a custom catback single can today.

A Taillight Journey

Went from Stock, to Valenti, to Black Housing Stock, back to Valenti, and now to Clear Tom's.

It's been quite a journey, but I think I'm finally satisfied...

1.) Stock - Never liked em.

2.) Valenti's - Nothing wrong with them. Gave the car a more "elegant" look, but was ultimately looking for a more "aggressive" look.

3.) Black Housing Stock - Had them "professionally" opened, painted, and sealed. Loved the look of these, but after the first wash, there was condensation (never had a problem before), and some residue inside the lens that looked like condensation. I think another forum member had it done by the same guy and also had the same residue. No warranty on the guy's work, since he explicitly said these tail lights are prone to condensation anyways, and there's no way to prove that it was his work that caused the condensation. Tried blow drying inside, but quickly realized it was not moisture. Try denatured alcohol, and it went downhill from there. Lights ruined. = (

4.) Back to Valenti's - Had no choice. Stock lights were ruined. Again, nothing wrong with these, just weren't in love with them and wanted to match the rest of the car more. (Black roof, black gurney flap, black wheels, etc)

5.) Tom's USDM (Clear) - I should have gone with Tom's right from the start. I knew I wanted Tom's from the beginning, but I thought the price was just too much. The Valenti's were selling for much cheaper through group buys.

The money spent on modding the stocks lights, the money lost from not being able to sell my stock lights anymore, and the depreciation of the Valenti's if I were to sell them made me put the Tom's in a different perspective. Yes, it's more expensive, but I ended up spending way more money by settling with the Valenti's, and would've saved more money in the long run if I had just gone with the Tom's in the beginning.

Lesson learned!

Only got halfway done today.

Still stoked though! Next week the rears should be on and then you'll get full body shots, plus some extra goodies.

What are we looking at here? Brakes, wheels, tires, center caps, springs?

My bad. I assumed most people would question Brembos being on a BRZ more than wheels. Plus it was more for people that frequent this thread, same as myself.

Checked wear bars on my tyres a few days ago (just reached under and felt them with my fingers) and knew my rears were done. Climbed under the car today (first time the ground has been dry in days) to inspect and found my right rear is on the cords on the inside edge. Tried to hop on Tire Rack and order a new set, but their website wasn't working :\

Then I got bored and tried turning a BRZ into a hatchback:

Come on Subaru, you know you want to!

I applaud your creativity, @Ganthrithor, and your digi-paint skillz, but no. Just no.
