Stock Tires - Slips Easily

There's a bend on my local road which I always turn sharper than necessary just for fun, but today it was drizzling a bit, and I did the usual turn (sports mode), it slides further than I expected and I corrected it and when I corrected it, it also turned the other way more than I expected.

Honestly I was caught off guard a bit but everything was under control. I didn't know these tryes are so ungrippy and will easily slide even when traction control is on.

There's a limit to how much TC will save you when doing a purposeful slide into a corner.

You guys crack me up!

But in djmm's defense, it's Summer in Oz and depending on where he is, it might not have rained in weeks so he might have encountered dust+drizzle=spin bait.

Still, the OEM Prius tire is LRR and not worth a damn in the wet. Try PSS, an exceptional high performance all-weather tire, the best, most cost effective investment you'll make.

Ah but after a year or more of owning the car he should no longer be taken by surprise about the tire performance in different conditions.
That be like me coming on here and saying "wow I would never have guessed this car slips a lot in the snow "

Oh, before posting I thought he must be a new owner and remembered climate and road conditions when I lived there.
