It feels like a entry level luxury car inside. Definitely more upscale than FRS ever will be. But GC is bigger and heavier. It is too big for my preference. accord coupe felt like a space ship. LOL.

Listen everyone knows that a true sports car is something like a Lotus elise/exige.

Sorry, disagree with you, and think you don't know the defintions of a sports car.

Umm... I think I do. The true and traditional definition is a front engine, rear wheel drive roadster. Why in the world would anyone think that someone wouldn't know this??? Some secret dictionary???

It's true that as a 4 seater, the FT86 technically doesn't meet the traditional definition of a sports car. However, using the same logic, one could argue that the MX5 and S2k have too many amenities (and thus aren't pure enough) to be sports cars.

It's partly semantics. I'm not expecting the FT86 to offer Elise, S2k, or even MX5 dynamics, but it'll be a hell of a lot closer than the GC.

I agree with those that say the GC looks more upscale, though I prefer the FT86's cleaner design. Both are too flashy for my taste.

The FRS/BRZ is pretty much a small version of a GC if you think about it. The BRZ Limited has all the features of the GC GrandTouring model except for the sunroof and the extra 600 lbs of being bigger. I like the idea of both cars but I wouldn't call the GC a straight up GT like a Lexus SC430.
GT coupe, yes. GT sport car, no. GC direct competitor can be either GT or Muscle car, not sport car. GC has GT one character, practicality, just like SC430.

That part is highly debatable.

That's UGLY.

An older gentleman I know owns a '67 Corvette Sting Ray (Stingrays didn't exist til '69) vert. That is a sports car. Sports cars have 2 seats and RWD; some have fixed roofs and some don't. Engine placement is debatable, though I suppose rear-midship is optimal.

It was old definition of a pure sport car, but it has changed over time. If sport car can only be a roaster, Cayman is not a sport car.

If you think the GC is like the SC430 then I honestly think you smoke serious amounts of crack. Not all GT coupes is like the SC430. The SC is a true Grand Tourer which is about real luxury and sophistication in which the GC is not. A G35 and a Sc430 is totally different. One is like a upscale Z and the other one is a coupe-like GS430. The GC is more like a G35. Drive one and you'll figure it out.

What did I say? I said they share one common thing, practicality. Did I say SC430 is the same as GC? GC interior is from econobox, Sc430 interior is pure luxury. SC430 is definitely not a GS coupe. If you say SC400, then yes.

Most sports cars nowadays offer to much conveniences to be considered "Pure". My definition of a sports car can be said with two cars the Elise/Exige. It doesn't have any features or backseats or any aids to save your life. It is only available with a manual and is as light as any so called sports car. Also there are other supercars with the same attributes. etc Viper/Ford GT/Koenigsegg CCX

All other sports cars is generally a GT Sports(2+2) car since they are more livable and offer some form of practicality but still offer sporty dynamics. The FRS is a small GT Sports car and the GC is a medium sized GT Sports car. They are not pure Sports cars like the above mentioned.etc 911/Rx8/GT-R

A regular GT is best described as something like a SC430/Is350c. All luxury and cushyness over sport on a long journey.
