So I bought a used bumper to replace my slightly damaged one. With this other bumper I could not get the bumper to stay clipped in. I believe its because of the plastic mounting tab closest to the headlight.

Be careful when removing your bumpers. If you damage the tab on the bumper it will cause it to slip out. My original bumper does not have this problem and I've dismounted and remounted that thing more than a dozen times. I'm going to try to repair the tab on this second bumper I bought and let you guys know how it goes.

I took my front bumper off for the first time to install my winjets and I didn't notice a big ugly gap when I reinstalled it. It doesn't look as flush as before with a very small gap if you look at it real close....but that was to be expected.

So I just replaced all the clips and while one side seems better the other just will not stay.

I have taken it back off and made sure everything was lining up but the it doesn't seem to be holding. I am going to try playing with the headlights since that was another suggestion a few made but I am about to say screw it and use a zip tie.

I will update if i run into any other problems with my bumper, just got back from little tujunga canyon and seems to be fine for now.

tried to use the existing holes but there was no way to get behind it with a wrench to hold a nut on the passenger side. drivers side should be fine. also if you use the preexisting holes you would have to either modify the Styrofoam so fit with the metal rod or ditch the Styrofoam(don't recommend).

Is your threaded rod bumper fix still holding up? Also, what's the best way to bend the threaded rod? I'm thinking of doing this soon. Thanks!

Ended up going with the move over racing quick release latches. And now I have no gap what soever. The rods didn't really hold the bumper much. It did help but the tabs on my bumper were broken. So only option was to replace the bumper or get the latches. Latches were a pita to install tho if you want them looking symmetrical.

Do you think any of your JRSC piping was not clearing the fog light housing/bumper? I don't know if you have pictures but which tabs on the bumper are you talking about? I only see the tabs on the black headlight brackets that are supposed to engage the 'loops' on either side of the bumper.

The Jr tubes are not in the way the bumper will fit proper until I drive it and it sees downforce. It pops back out due to the plastic loops or tabs that are on the bumper are broken and stretched. I don't have pix sorry. The rods will work if the loops and tabs are somewhat still functioning.

Has anyone used zipties to fix the bumper gap? I know this isn't an elegant solution but I'm wondering if it would actually work. Is there some place to actually tighten down some zipties (out of sight) to fix the gap?

Hmm this potential problem is discouraging me from installing my Perrin CAI. It's pretty much for sure the bumper will sag after it's been removed?

As with anything, your results may vary. The first time I took my bumper off it went back on without a problem. Second time it started to sag a smidge.

Don't forget to rescale the MAF after installing the Perrin CAI/
