Reverse lockout vibration

I noticed recently I get a loud vibration noise from the reverse lockout at high rpm. Anyone else have this problem? I'm contemplating one of the short shifters that ditches the plastic piece.

Is this the vibration just slightly over 4,000 rpm that sounds like a heat shield?

I had this, but it was actually from the little silver piece on the shift knob, just above the reverse lockout. I twisted it until it felt snug in a spot again and it doesn't rattle anymore.

It might be due to the perrin shift knob that I have installed vibrating on the plastic lockout. Short shifter without the cheap lockout sounds better every day.
