The brembro's are the only thing of use your getting thats not in the Performance Pack i wouldnt pay $4k for a name and appearence pack..now if it had go fast parts thats different...and you get those cheaper on the forums. The PP looks good enough and unique actually im very taken with the clean look of it...no doubt the Roush loooks stunning tho a lil busy for my tatste but its badass tho...for $26k it is a stellar package.

Agreed on a good note i got a offer for a brand new 2013 base mustang gt with the sync pac for $28.7k...kinda hard to resist that..but i will definetly drive the FRS 1st before i make my decision. They even have the colors i want in the same package black, white, grabber blue, and deep impact blue at that kinda price a GT would be my only other consderation no V6 in my program anymore especially since its pretty hard to find 1 with a performance pack....

On stock-size Dunlop StarSpecs, the FR-S/BRZ was 2.3 seconds(!) quicker in Road & Track's testing at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park: http://www.roadandtrack.com/highligh...-a-faster-fr-s But for me, on the street, I just find much smaller/lighter and independently sprung rwd cars more fun and engaging to drive, even below 4/10ths (i.e., normal every-day driving). My S2000 is still on its winter tires, and I LOVE driving it despite the *very* low grip limits. I've owned and driven big/heavy live-axle muscle/pony cars, and while the experience is fun in a goofy way, smaller/lighter/irs does it for me every single time I drive. You can certainly get a big, heavy, live-axle car to perform *very* well indeed. But for me, I just don't like the sensation of all that bulk and mass. These are two very different cars with different kinds of appeal. No one should find it shocking that people on an FR-S/BRZ forum prefer the FR-S/BRZ despite it being so much slower in every category on the stock rubber. Performance numbers do not define the driving experience. [edit: oops, I thought this was the other Mustang thread in which discussion was on-going...] Last edited by ZDan; 07-01-2012 at 08:30 AM. |

I love this review. Great way to get a Mustang owner drooling over an 86. :happy0180:

Saw a mustang parked up next to me at a stop light earlier this morning.. he looked over and shook his head in disappointment as if thinking "why did you waste money on that car, when you could own a mustang like me!"
Not all mustang owners are arrogant like that, since I have friends with fairly heavily modded stangs that still love my frs... but geez. This guy needs to get off his high horse... (lol) |
