Can my GBS look like this as well?

The first photo is the one that I found on Google and rest three are my car's actual photos. They are both GBS but look so different. Is this because of its camera effect or something like that? I desperately want the exterior color of my car to look like the first photo LOL ... I just cannot believe it's actually the same color as mine. Should I wax or opti-coat it in order for my car to look like that? any help would really appreciate it! THANK YOU !!!

I'm also curious to know this since I'm about to purchase a GBS BRZ. The GBS that I actually saw in person appears to be more like the one you had it than the first photo. Yes, the first photo looks damn sexy and I wish mine would somehow turn into that color haha.

EDIT: Please take a look at these 2 videos on Youtube. The first video is what it looks like to be in the first photo while the second video is more like the rest of three photos. I assume they are supposedly the same color regardless of where the video was taken I guess? (The first video was obviously taken in Japan although I'm not so sure what galaxy nexus means...)

They're identical. The appearance changes depending on the lighting.

...or how the image is processed.

HDR is magic.

Zizon, you're about to go down the rabbit hole that is detailing. There's a sub-forum with more info.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42

Do a lot of reading on detailing on this forum and elsewhere. People devote a lot of time to getting their tools and techniques just right, and they like to talk about what they do.

I'm a Sonax brand whore, but I'm mature enough to realize that other brands can probably do almost as well. I get all my stuff from Detailer's Domain.

I call it 'detailed' when I wipe down the inside of my door jamb and under my trunk lid after I wash it.

Lighting makes a huge difference on a metallic paint, even more so on a pearl paint. WRB does the same thing.

I think the photos of your car look better than the first Google image lol.

As others have mentioned, lighting and angle seem to be the biggest factors with the color. Who knows, first pic could have some kind of Instagram filter on it.

Yep! The pearl coat has a huge effect on how it looks in different light or how it turns out in pictures.
People should never look at a picture and think that is what it looks/should look like. The same car can look 4 or 5 different colours all at the same time depending on angle and light intensity.

The only Galaxy Nexus I've ever heard of was the Samsung iteration of the Google Nexus phone.

Mystichrome is a great color. Until you get a scratch and need it repaired...

After a dozen years working in film and television, I have comments.

Side by side those cars would look almost the same. The first difference is that the camera used for the first pic has a different white balance. Nothing you can really do about that.

The second difference is that your car is reflecting trees, whereas the car in the first pic is reflecting sky. When shooting automobiles, what is reflected in the surface is an important component of the lighting. Pay attention to those reflections and move your car to a location where there's nothing blocking out the sky above the car.

The third difference is the quality of the light itself. Soft, indirect light gives soft shadows and lower contrast, whereas direct light gives hard shadows and higher contrast, which can change the appearance of colors.

The shadow on the first pic indicates that the lighting is soft, but the reflection seems to show a clear sky with a few high, wispy clouds. That makes me think it's sitting in the shadow of a building, but with no trees close by to mess up the reflections. The shadows on the pics of your car indicate more direct sunlight overhead. You can get softer lighting by parking in shadow like that first pic, or you can shoot on an overcast day when the entire sky becomes your light source rather than just the sun. However, shadow and overcast will give you different colors because they are different shades of blue.

Finally, one thing even photographers might overlook is that your car has amber side markers, while the first pic has clear markers. The clear markers trick the brain into thinking the color of the car is different. You'll tweak your lighting forever, yet it still won't look quite right until you get clear side markers (with amber bulbs dammit).
