Eh. I get tired of people trying to cause problems for the sake of causing problems. It's insanity, and it's been weighing heavy on my mind a lot this year, but so has Categorical Imperative, and I'm not doing a great job of implementing that.

Extra daylight?

Was just hearing about this. I kind of presumed these were spurious, like ice cream consumption and infant mortality (Explained by the extraneous variable of heat/temperature)

Did what you read provide some backing as to why these correlations occur?

Update:

I made it nearly 1700 Uber trips before a passenger threw up in my car.

I guess lost hour of sleep may play role in our bodys natural rhythm.

Here's the research done by University of Michigan: http://openheart.bmj.com/content/1/1/e000019

No it doesn't. From your own link - "DST impacts the timing of presentations for AMI but does not influence the overall incidence of this disease."

No proof at all that it increases depression or causes any other medical conditions. It is just a pain in the ass.

It is an hour change. Do you go to bed and get up at exactly the same time every day? If you stay up an hour longer one night are you a vegetable for the following week? Your body adjusts to it within one sleep cycle just like any other interruption in your sleep. People want it to have some effect so they feel it is all that is going on.

I think you've misread it.
They stated:
"There was no difference in the total weekly number of PCIs performed for AMI for either the fall or spring time changes in the time period analysed. After adjustment for trend and seasonal effects, the Monday following spring time changes was associated with a 24% increase in daily AMI counts (p=0.011), and the Tuesday following fall changes was conversely associated with a 21% reduction (p=0.044). No other weekdays in the weeks following DST changes demonstrated significant associations."

JIC, AMI is Acute myocardial infarction aka heart attack. PCI is Percutaneous coronary intervention which is non-surgical procedure treatment for heart attack.

... but lets face it, it’s just ONE of the result. So can be taken as a grain of salt.

I just used two military watches ...... one set for work (Fort Knox) and the other set for home (Louisville) ....... and each one was labeled.

So, I would switch them on my way up or down the Dixie deathway.
