I used to switch between stock rotors, hawk pc pads for the street to stoptech rotors, hawk hp+ pads for track but that got old quick. Now I stick with the track setup full time. I usually don't dd the FRS but I recently sold my wrx and will daily it through the summer for financial reasons. The hawk hp+ pads squeal like crazy but I just don't care. They are worth keeping on bc of the braking power. I highly recommend this setup.

If u ever need a place to work on ur car give me a holler. I am about to purchase a house and have all the tools u should need. I also enjoy working on cars so it isn't an inconvenience.

That much of a bother huh? That's kind of what I was thinking of doing since I don't want to street my track tires. I figure, the wheel is off might as well switch the pads too.

Do you have to bed-in the rotors and pads before every event?

It's not that it is hard to do its just that I missed the braking power of the race setup on the street. I tend to do some spirited driving quite often. You should only have to bed in the pads once.

Just ordered bronze 17x9 +35 RPF1s and 245/40/17 Hankook RS-3s! That comes to 9 pounds off of each wheel compared to my XXR setup!

Also bought the Cusco sports accel pedal. Ever since installed ss brake lines and master cylinder brace I have had a hard time with heel toe since the brake pedal is so much higher than the throttle.

That's $1800 before 8 o'clock AM on a Monday.

Taking a half day today to install my Openflash Header! Expect videos soon!

Just found your thread today, I think we both have very similar end goals in mind for our builds. Subscribed for updates

I will get this measurement for you asap. I think I remember the top of it being 4.75" when I measured it to see if it was level.

I have seen your thread. I agree we do have a similar goal. I am jealous of all the track days you do. I am lucky to do 4 in a year the way the weather is here. Your build thread states the SPL LCAs didn't have enough camber adjustment. I was planning on buying those (unless VELOX gets theirs done soon) and want to run -2 degrees in the back. Do you think I will be ok? Its kind of weird for such little adjustment on that type of LCA.

And I am jealous of the tracks available near you! Yes, I couldn't get nearly enough camber out of them with what I would call reasonable thread engagement. It is really going to depend on how low you are. I'm running my coilovers with a lot of stroke at around stock ride height (great for cornering, less so for looks), so I'm going to need a whole lot more adjustment than someone with even a mild drop.

So stoked that my wheels arrived I forgot to take a picture of them. You know you're a car guy when the UPS driver knows you well enough to pull into your driveway to drop parts off. lol

While waiting for my wheels I installed my Cusco throttle pedal. I have had a hard time with heel toe after installing ss brake lines. My heel could just barely reach the throttle while my "toe" was on the brake. This added a good amount of space on top of the stock pedal. I noticed that the way the gas pedal assembly is mounted to the car allows for a little adjustment by using washers behind the assembly if you wish to move the throttle pedal closer. I like the pedal and it seems like it is going to do what I wanted, but I will probably add a washer or two to make it even easier.

Nice addition, I just did this to mine the other day and it makes heel toeing much easier. For some reason I also found it very amusing to hold the throttle pedal in my hand. It was just odd to me how easy it comes off. I feel like I may need to prank a friend at the track next time...
