Thankfully my car didn't come with mudflaps...I would have taken them off if it did (unnecessary eyesores are what they are). I've taken the mudflaps off of every vehicle I've owned, even my Tacoma. Just like debadging...it's cleaner and looks better. I'ts all concrete and asphalt roads here...

I'm not so sure of the reception though. I only listen to two radio stations with any regularity, 102.3FM out of Bellingham and 98.1FM out of Seattle. I never noticed any difference, but I'm not what you'd call a music snob. Where I happen to be at the moment has, I think, more to do with reception than a few inches of antenna. Another thing that might have an effect is that the Perrin is made from solid lathe-turned aluminum. I'm not sure what the OE antenna is made from, but it seems to be the same diameter as the Perrin, but coated with a pretty thick layer of rubber.

I also like the Perrin because it doesn't require any difficult modifications. I still have my 36-inch-long OE antenna. :-)
36 inches? What...?!?

Question is, what is the preference of everyone for these...on or off?

Any photo of the protection film and where to buy ?

Love my Rally Armor mudflaps. As @NWFRS stated, Western Washington sees quite a bit of rainy days. With my 9" wide wheels and 35 offset, there is a decent amount of poke that would be slinging dirt/rocks/water on the side of my car a lot more then it does now. Also, I have my rally armor shoved as closed to the body as I can. I think it looks great.

Best part was, the cost of them, only $35 .

I bought staggered wheels 8.5/9.5 and then bought rally armor because I wanted to protect my paint.

I kept looking at pics of cars with the flaps on. It just never grew on me. I sold the brand new flaps at a loss.

IMO no flaps, I just can't accept the look.

But if you like it go for it. I almost did.

Muflaps look f**ing terrible on these cars. If you're not riding with raised suspension and rally tires and piloting your car through a gravel stage, keep the mudlaps for your pickup truck or WRX.

If you're not doing this:

No mudflaps.

Personally, I like the look of rally armors over OEM, though imo they do seem to blend in well. It's obviously all subjective. Regardless, I think it's safe to say they do add protection (even if you feel they are ugly) which might make them redundant for you if you have paint protection on there.
