It's a possibility.

Turns out that windows 10 education edition may be the issue. I tried to install the update that keeps failing manually and turns out, "it's not compatible with this version of windows" will try with Windows 10 basic as soon as I get the ISO downloaded, since I'm an idiot and deleted the original ISO I downloaded.

Yep, I hear that. I have a desktop with Windows 7, sitting beside me that my granddaughters use for their school work. I tried for several weeks to get it to accept the Windows 10 upgrade. It tells me it won't install Windows 10 because Windows 7 needs an update ...... but it won't update .....

So, I went to Best Buy and bought a new one ...... that HAS Windows 10 .....

Well, I have until 20 March off, so it's a possibility.

Plus, there's hella good beer in Portland. And, I could use a nice relaxing drive. I'll look into it.

You'll have to try some sour beers if you come down if you've never tried it before.
We'll have to get Ultra in on this... Maybe some go karts as well...

Yes they do.

But since we are owned by Microsoft, we get *some* of the "benefits" they get. That includes soda and candy.

I look around the office and realize how much of that stuff people are consuming on a daily basis. One former employee had a rather large pyramid going.

Used to get a fruit bowl every so often but that got canceled. At least apples and bananas are still around.

Iono, personally I quit sugar a few years ago and now I don't even want to drink soda. Sometimes I take a sip of undiluted soda and quickly regret it because my tongue gets overwhelmed.

I was completely anti-sweetened drinks too for a bit, then got into stevia soda (one of the few luxuries I allow myself lol, that shit is expensive), and drink that diluted with carbonated water too. When I drink something with actual sugar in it, the lactic acid taste in my mouth afterwards feels really weird and I don't like it at all, so I much prefer xylitol/erithrytol/maltitol/stevia/sucralose (slightly allergic to aspartame, I think). Trader Joe's has that sugar free maltitol chocolate which is really good, and Safeway carries "Blue Sky" stevia soda, which is the best.

Fruit juice has just as much sugar so I don't consider it any healthier. Vitamins come in much larger quantities in pills anyways. I just drink sparkling water, which every office in SF has. Squeeze a little lemon in it maybe. The snacks are pretty easy to avoid too, because they tend to be either sweet, or something like chips/pretzels which I don't like to eat anyways.

Once you convince yourself that processed food, fried food, sweets, and carbs are poison, then one day when you crave them and take a bite you'll discover you don't actually feel like eating it anymore. I am phasing some carbs back in because I found that if I didn't like the lunch/dinner at the office, I would not eat enough and lose weight without trying. Being a picky eater is great! lol

The gf and I went to a local brewery in Toronto a few weeks ago and they had a pink sour beer. Was the first time I had ever tried a sour before and I was extremely pleasantly surprised.

Heck yes!!! Got everything on the computer working. Turns out windows 10 Education is actually the devil/hitler/Stalin/etc and will only ruin your life.
