Chirping is a fuel issue, not a mechanical issue. It will likey not be remidied unless you can convince the gov't to stop putting ethanol in our fuel to appease the corn farmers.

2 reasons I won't mod.
1: Warranty - 1st year model car... and it doesn't need it. 2: I'm massively increasing the resale value if I decide to sell it because by the time I go to sell it 90% of the other ones for sale will most likely be modded so my car will demand a much higher price. |

I'm not holding off on moding it at all. However I will be keeping all of the stock parts. That way if/when I sell it I will be able to sell it either modded or stock.

Trying to muscle and handle in stock form before doing anything extra. May be suspension mods - power mods, wait till warranty is up. Honestly, i am happy with the power level.

Delayed modding because I will be replacing my brz with the STI brz when it comes out in a year or 2

Just got over 1000 miles and am experiencing everyone of these. Always told myself I'd never buy a first year model car. Damn you BRZ in all your glory!!!

Honestly, I'm just glad that's it so far. God forbid I get that dreaded CEL light.

Just like many of you, I am holding off the mods as well.
Warranty and reliability are the two things I just can't risk especially on a first year model vehicle.

Been there, done that, maybe I am getting OLD,
but I've swapped out different rims on my current ride, did the whole hella flush thing... and now I really appreciated when my ride was stock... With the BRZ I will TRY to keep myself from burning excess $ aside from maybe ClearBra for protection.

As a blanket statement, that's BS. Sure some "upgrades" aren't upgrades at all, but there are plenty of things that can be improved over stock...

I don't feel the need to modify this car since it is pretty good out of the box.
I'm sure I could find a few improvements to put on the car, but I am holding off because it's a new car, they are still working out the bugs. I fully expect to bring it in for something under warranty (idle, nav). I don't want to give them any reason to deny warranty claims. I'm not worried about it, but I don't want to have the argument of "you put on a catback, so I won't fix your idle issue". Even though it's a dumb conversation, I don't want to have it. |
