back to main subject, give me only 2 seats. I don't need/want back seats. My back seats are for putting text book & other stuff

i have some very tall Asian friends, ok so im 6'7" but they are up here with me, one chinese guy i was friends with back in highschool was even taller than me. like i said i was JUST JOKING and playing the stereotype card.. happy ur not offended hope noone else is

Note that the SC (unless you mean the older one) has a folding hardtop, which is significant.

I've been in the back of a '92-'96 Prelude, when there were 4 people (including) me over 6' in it. The combination of college gas budgets and thin seats means that at least as many people as there are seatbelts fit in a car.

^ Agreed - which is why I don't want a strict 2-seater but rather a 2+2 - having that shelf of a seat is nicer than just having a bulkhead right behind the seat.

A professor at my college drives (well it was for sale, maybe not anymore) a Porsche 993, very nice car with integrated cage etc etc; and he replaced the rear "seats" with a box. Hard to explain, should've taken pictures, but it was tied into the cage with 3/4" tubing, and used leather wrapped plywood to section off a box a little shorter than the rear window, that took all of the back seat, with a hinged top so he could keep wherever he needed (books, gym bag, whatever) there and not have to go to the trunk. Very nice setup.

I park in a different lot now, but I may go and try to find the car, to be able to describe it a little better.

I said 2 adults and 2 children. It only makes sense. I could care less if nobody fits in the back seats. Like stated before, it will keep insurance down. I'm just gonna take em out anyway.

It's going to be four adults. You're not gonig to be able to fit 4 6'+ people in it but I would hope Toyota has had the forethought into actually making the backseats usuable.

Basically they took advantage of the fact that the car is nice and low to the ground and used a thinner style seat and an inset the seats so that when someone sat in the backseats it would still feel comfortable because they weren't sitting completely upright with their knees to their chest.

My hope is that the engineers and designers of Toyota have taken this into account when making the back seats and aren't just an afterthought/insurance lowering mechanism.

RX-8 maybe? Ugly way to do it, in my opinion.
