Some are applicable, some aren't. Just the way it is.

Are you saying you want them to develop a turbo kit specifically around the OFH?

Think in terms of: "It would be nice If I won the lottery". "It would be nice if there were no wars". I just thought it would be nice "if the open flash header was modular and could be used for everything from NA, to super, to turbo". I understand I might as well wish my car had wings and could fly.

OFH could be used with a PTuning style turbo kit... Just saying.

It is exactly what @alexand3r said. Subarus are know for that boxer growl only because of the UEL header. If you look at the current SBD header design, you could simply swap the pipe orientation. Here is what I mean.

Current SBD Header:

Motor Header
Front
12 12
34 34
Back

UEL Header Design:

Motor Header
Front
12 43
34 12
Back

This would make the runner length of the front and rear cylinders different. I am not sure how it would affect the sound exactly though.

Shiv and team, will the 350 kit work with AT cars?
I would expect a cooler would be needed but otherwise...?

I believe what Shiv is saying is that with the turbo you get the same sound with an UEL or EL, because the turbo is in the gas path. With NA or SC it makes a difference, but not with a Turbo. Though I could very well be mistaken, I believe that's what he meant.

I called and asked about the OFT350 yesterday and was told I should expect to see something within the next two weeks. Fingers crossed :-)

You are correct in your interpretation of what he said, but I don't think what he said is true. If a turbo truly chops up the air enough to cover up a manifold then no turbocharged subaru (such as an STI) would have a 'boxer rumble'. And the video above shows pretty clearly the sound difference between an UEL manifold (AVO) and an equal length one.

The problem is, this kit is sourced from a turbo supplier which was speced out by SPD. This is the same company that makes the Greddy turbo. This would require an entire redesign just to get the sound. I understand why they don't do it, but you are right, UEL obviously can be heard with a turbo.

No it isn't. Good to see their marketing worked.
