FWIW, we've actively looked for RHD models to build kits for. But either the logistics or price for one has prevented us from sourcing a car for mockup.

Yep, I certainly get that - if the logistics were possible, I'd just ship my car. But that's prohibitively expensive. I've been following the blog, and from what I've seen on a range of different blogs, the biggest issue with the FRS/BRZ in an engine swap is the CANBUS coding. Crack that ECU problem, and the exhaust is trivial in comparison.

One thing I've been thinking about is the keyless entry/start in GTS spec models which the FRS doesn't have. Fortunately there are at least 4 LS conversions taking place in aus at the moment so we should get a little info soon enough.

2 in Qld that are being done with no/little online presence, one on the Central Coast which has occasional teaser pictures put up on the NSW 86 club Facebook page but no updates of any substance and this one in Bathurst:

I'm in the process of this swap myself (holding out now for vorshlag) but i will be going the Turbo LS3 route.

I think the biggest wow factor of Vorshlag is the hand tools installation and the plug and play harness.

I may end up having to go stand alone to get it all working properly but Vorshlag is still the best solution to date.
A mild street cam and tune will put it right at or a little above 400 wheel. That thing is gonna scream.

Ran out of money at this point.....got the car at home and awaiting an estimate to finish up from Vorschlag with me acquiring the necessary funds......what's left....due to GTO oil pan a new mount configuration for front sway bar is needed...currently I have no front sway bar on car , can- bus integration , currently all I have is speedometer and fuel quantity , have no power assist steering or air-conditioning

I saw this and thought it might be interesting to the swap guys. If Edelbrock offers this separately it might work really well with the LS's throttle body placement and flow needs.

is power steering due to can-bus? also running AC lines shouldn't be too hard to DIY. with all the R&D they have done and for how long they have kept the car. they really should just finish it up for you with how little is left to do. you are basically at the finish line.

Both of those items aren't working because of the issues they are having integrating both ECU's via the canbus. If you read some of the posts farther back in that s thread the details are there.

Would running a Motec make any of this easier? Or is motec purely engine management?

All that is left sans front sway bar is can-bus related, I was given an estimate on the onset , the build ran over budget, they require more money and I have no money left at this time. It will in time be finished....that is a promise.
