I would not joke about something like this. I've had so many things stolen out of cars, off cars, had friends' limited edition cars stolen for their limited edition parts. I've seen it all.

This is a special version, people will want the parts off it - thieves will rise to the occasion. You can't trust that it won't happen to you. Protect yourselves, protect your car.

It is a $1,000 option package on a $28,000 car not a limited edition. Will people steal stuff? Maybe, but shit dude "don't park it outside" is more than extreme. Throw some wheel locks on to foil the casual thief and you are done. As far as stealing the whole car goes there just wouldn't be enough money in it for them to be a target. It isn't a Ferrari.

People will think they hit the jackpot when attempting to steal this car, but then realize that it's under 30k.. lol

With the immobilizer system it would take a pro to steal these and the pros just will not be interested.

Normally after given a VIN number the car must be built. How long does it the car to ship from that point to Canada.

Placed the order December 15, 2016

So if takes the 4 weeks it will be exactly 50 days for when you received your VIN. Right smack in the "normal" range.

Perfect! Thank you for all your information I've been following up with.
You also mentioned the PP isn't nessary if it's for a daily driver? I picked up the standard sports pack trim

The PP doesn't give any real advantage for street only use but it sure is pretty and anybody that even casually tracks could make good use of it. The only way you can get it in Canada is on the Yellow anyway since they don't offer the option.

Garage
Car was picked up Friday. I am amazed how smooth the ride is compared to my previous BRZs. I only have 55 miles on it, i have spend more time inspecting and working on the car than driving it. So, far I have added:

Raceseng Shift Knob (came from my previous BRZ)
Installed power cable for Radar Det. (interior panels come off easy as ever)
Installed Hood Dampers (a must for anyone who wrenches on their own car)
Installed OEM JDM Center Arm Rest (this should standard on all BRZs )

But, you can tell that the car is sorted just a little better. I think Subaru did a good job with the recipe. Its still soup, but just a little richer in a flavor than it was.

I can't reference 17 vs 17 PP, but the Sachs dampers ride noticeably smoother than the stock suspension of the 13,14 and 15 MY. I have never been in a 16, but i assume its the same as the previous. I am quite happy with the car, enjoying it more than expected. Since it was my 4th one, the wow factor wasnt expected. But it feels just a little better in every way. No i do not notice the 5hp, yes i do feel the rear end difference when taking off in 1st and 2nd. In 3rd thru 6th...it feels like the 13 - 16 cars. No difference noticed as of yer. And, once you take off in the low gears after the initial tip-in and acceleration....it feels like the 13 - 16. Brakes are still improving from being driven and bedded. Each drive they get more grab, but nothing to report on those yet.

A few pics, notice i already have the dampers installed.

Man, you are really making me wish I went with black. Those wheels look so good on a black car.

your car looks badass Awesome and congratulations.

Nice to know about the PP Sachs dampers. I was worried for a few months before I pulled the trigger on ordering them. I was concerned they would be more rock and metal-to-metal jarring sound like it is in my 2006 Mini Cooper S. Thank you for the review!
