Picked it up this morning from Best Buy for $84.99. Dunno why the price in the store was cheaper than online. But I'm not gonna complain. I used a $5.00 reward certificate too which came out to $83.00. Sales kid was surprised as well. I'll install it to tomorrow. I'll use the glove compartment power plug too. Easier to rout the wire to that plug. Hard wire would be a option later down the road. Stay tuned

Nice!

If your car is lowered, I'd suggest lowering the incident sensitivity to 1. With my Flex Z coilovers, every pothole was thought to be an incident on the default settings. That's done through the Thinkware Dashcam Viewer app/program. Also, do your best to mount the mount as centered (not crooked) on the windshield. Mine was at a slight angle, so that's why you can see a little more of the driver side fender than the passenger side in my videos. It's hard to gauge how to mount it tho as you can't view the recording live.

Thanks for the tips! I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have a Black Sys dual dash cam on my FRS, I've had it for 2 years now, it has great video quality, also has sleep mode with motion sensor so it records any movement even when the car is off. I'm glad I've never had to use it as evidence in a wreck but one time I was just talking a quick peek through the motion detection vids and saw some kid fall off his bike and slam his head on the concrete. I thought that was funny.

Assuming you are talking to me...

Ctrl-C the youtube link, click on the little world symbol with the chain under it on when you are creating your post, then past the URL when it asks you to.

Kind of got goosebumps when I played your dash cam vid...I had a business for 10 years right down the street at the intersection of Fremont and Automall, and I've made that turn at least a dozen times...glad you were OK.

I live in Wylie. Do you have to take the camera down Everytime you get out of the car? The one negative review that I have read on just about every camera system is that the Texas heat kills cameras in a very short time. But you have had yours for a few years now. What model did you go with and how are you making it last?

I've never taken it down, I had it installed at car toys. It does feel hot in the summer but that's never been an issue. The only problem I've ever had with it was about a year ago, it was turning on and off randomly so I took it back to car toys and it was just a loose wire.

The model is CH-100B, i got it for $275 its listed right now for around the same price. I think it was a good buy, there's an app for it that lets you review the recorded videos or view a live feed of the front or rear on your phone wirelessly.

Here's pics, I was too lazy to climb in the back seat to get a close pic of the rear cam, you can barely see it.

It was super easy, I just did it. Let me know if I can help with pics or anything like that. Took me about ten minutes.
- Stuck cam to windshield,
- Ran cable to rubber seal
- pushed under seal to passenger pillar, then down pillar
-Routed into a routing hole on the right of the dash, into the glove box USB port.

There is about 2 inches of material cable left sticking out, but I can live with that (you cannot see it when the door is closed, and you have to hunt for it when its open).

Good luck!
