DME lower control arms / comparisons?

Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking to buy a set of RLCA very soon and the only thread that pops up is something that isn't a real review, but more a product advertisement.


I am going to be lowering the car with RCE yellows, and will be doing some autoX, but it is mostly a weekend street driven car.


I know the natural camber from the mild drop is supposed to be fine, but I want to have the right adjustability and have a great alignment done. I will be using camber bolts in the front.


I have tried finding used SPL / RacerX etc, but no one has them for sale, or they want basically new pricing. RacerX says they're making some and will be shipping in 2-4 weeks I think.


I also looked at the ISC and Megan Racing RLCA, but not much info out there about those either! Basically I just don't want to spend 500 + dollars on something I will realistically not adjust that often, but since I'm spending the money I want the aluminum nice ones instead of the whiteline/SPC ones that resemble the stock control arm.


Any help?

I would avoid those, they look like the design I link below and as such will require cutting the subframe to get adjustability on the car or you/your tech will need to unbolt them, adjust, re-attach, re-measure, repeat.

I'd wait for the RacerX's at the same price, the car will drive just fine for the 2-4 weeks on just springs without an alignment if you can't wait to install them.

Plus you can get the urethane bushing to maintain SCCA STX class compliance just in case you get super into it you won't have to sell the DME's (they offer multiple suspension point attachments, not STX legal someone could make a stink if you're too fast, and I can't get a good read on if their bushing is legal but it might be ok).

Looking at pictures the racerX looks like you would run in to the identical problem. How are they different?

Driving for a few weeks without everything done and on is not an option and I need to get these by next weekend lol.

I did as much research as I could before asking the question and making a thread.

The end on the RacerX is longer so the adjustment portion is outside of the subframe, this DIY should clarify:

Ahhh, I read about the adjustor length but that makes it easy to see.

I have this on my car and I agree trying to adjust them are difficult. But they been on my car probably longer most people have there car. With multiple track days.

I put it on hold until I found the right parts. Basically I'm deciding between Velox and RacerX now after scouring every forum post I can find about lower control arms and performance.


Unfortunately, so many people stance these cars a lot of threads turn in to discussions about how to get the most negative camber possible as cheap as possible and degrades from there.

bumping this as I Need lca's to go with my miesterR coilovers. So can someone make a list of lca's that can be installed without cutting up your subframe? Almost every brand looks like that have a short head with the exception of the racer X

None require cutting up the subframe that I know of, it's only done to speed up the adjustment process.

I guess I should be more clear. Which ones can be adjusted on the vehicle without having to cut the frame or remove.


Want to make these as easy as possible for the alignment guy. Any extra labor is going to cost more so I might as well pay ~$500 for a better set.

Velox and racerx seem to be the "best" options.

I wound up finding a set of cuscos that worked well for what I am doing and with the right tools they don't need to be unbolted for alignment.

Yeah looked at both the Velox with their light weight was intriguing. Went with the racerx in the end with the ease of on car adjustability and a lil cheaper. Can't find any weight on them in any threads? Should be light as its billet aluminum just hope they are the same or lighter than stock.
