chrome browser issue with this site

google chrome browser is saying our site is unsafe (expired certificate.)

I believe google has recently made a change to advise users if they consider it may be unsafe by throwing up a message

Been going on for a bit, seems like just browsing the forums generally doesn't bring up the warning since most pages on here don't try to force https, but on pages such as viewing notifications for "thanks" received on your posts where it does go to https it will throw errors like that. May vary by browser though - I know my phone won't even load the forums at all without warning me about the expired certificate.

That's not a recent change. What changed is the site's SSL certificate is expired.

This site has some pages that load as secure HTML, with "https" at the beginning of the URL instead of "http." A site has to have a security certificate for https pages to be considered secure. This site's certificate is expired, so Chrome stops and won't load it unless you force it to.

Chrome has been doing this for a long time. This is probably just the first time you have encountered a site with an expired certificate.

Well, old timer, since you are over 75 years old, you have to pay a senior sir charge. Obviously, you are not paid up ..

I use the "Https Everywhere" extension which will force a secure connection regardless of the site's status.

Forget Chrome. Stick with FF,but also install an add-on called NoScript.

Sorry, since Google runs the earth, possibly soon the universe, I'm sticking with Chrome and everything else Alphabet Inc.
