Best headlights to match the Valenti Smoke taillights?

I was trying to find something that would match better than the stock headlights on my BRZ I was looking into the Vland headlights but I know there’s other options out there too. I was wondering if anyone has found something that matches perfectly or not?

Stock brz headlights are about as good as it gets. Would say they match pretty well..
Can always put a tint on them if your looking for a similar smoked look.

I feel like that’s illegal though?

I also agree that the stock ones are pretty good. Never understood why people went for after market headlights. Don’t think it’s illegal as long as it’s not too dark. You can save a lot of money and worst case you can just take the tint off.

Tinting your headlights is definitely a no-no. It kills their performance, and or invalidates their DOT approval. You're much better off opening the housings up and painting the insides black.

The Morimoto lights are the only aftermarket headlights for these cars that outperform the stock BRZ optics, and their housings are black too.

all housings are self-certified by the manufacturer to meet current federal standards. any modification of any sort(different type of bulbs, tinting, cutting, replacing internal parts) by anyone after the housing leaves the factory is illegal. the only legal option given to consumers is to purchase a newer/better vehicle with different lighting.

that's the fuxked up state of automotive lighting right now.

the trick is, if you're going to do something, spend enough time/money on doing it that it looks oem. no one messes with stuff that looks like it belongs there.

This is the real trick. It's also why tinting the lenses are a dead giveaway that you've modified them. Painting the housing is way more subtle.

You should stick with stock. Seeing as you have a BRZ that came with HIDs i have no idea why you want to downgrade.

Morimoto! DOT approved, 5-year warranty, looks great, gloss black housing, great projector output, and a durable polycarbonate lens that will resist the test of time. I'm extremely satisfied with these on my FRS and they get a lot of compliments. If you have any other questions about the Morimoto's feel free to PM me!

My 13 lenses are looking tired and are beyond the help of a polish. The plastic is actually cracked/fissured on the inside so they look decent after a polish but not great. I plan on replacing them in a year or 2, and new or new ish OEM units are expensive.

Ah, i guess at that point its better to replace. I agree OEM BRZ headlights are too expensive, but for me none of the current aftermarket options are worthwhile maybe what Eastend posted above seem good. I really want to upgrade to the MY2017+ LEDs at some point.

How do the morimoto projectors compare to the oem 10 series projectors?

I like the cutoff and light output on the Morimoto's better than the oem BRZ and 10 Series projectors. They are made specifically to work with LED bulbs and I love being able to see so much of the road at night.

If I had a 10 series I would probably do a Morimoto projector retrofit onto the oem headlight, rather than buy a new headlight! I love the look of the OEM RS-1/10 series/monogram headlights!
