Help! It's starting to grow on me. I have a tough time believing this is real though.

My first impression is that the Style Cb is an attempt to adapt the original "shark like" GT-86 design to a more "Jaguar XK-E"-ish design idiom. Smoother, more rounded. Definitely has much more of the Jaguar/Aston-Martin style to it. Don't know if this really fits the GT-86 or not.

I can not begin to imagine how fucking ugly, expensive and useless the FR-S would be if Toyota built one to the hater's specs.

ETA: I'm positive there was/is another iteration of that front end, and it looked like it was right off a Jaguar or Maserati. Sexy thing. The haters probably like Rocket Bozo stuff, so they are already suspect.
The front end you are thinking of is off the Netz Toyota Hyogo 86. Sexiest dealer exclusice 86 in existance - I want that front end as well! Bumper cover is over $2k though...then add shipping....

ETA Evey one of these goofy special editions only increase the value of a stock version, at least IMO.

I'm trying hard to think of the people that say it suck. It's usually trollers on you tube saying its too slow and such or the occasional person saying its anemic and underpowered. I haven't seen a magazine say it was bad, other than noticing that current sales have dropped considerably. Even on this forum in the "Hate" section its not a total hate fest it's just singular issues ie. sound deadening, power etc.

I heard a rumor that water fluorination leads to schizophrenia/autism, and that the government has been implanting RFID chips in everybody since the 1970s.

To me style cb looks like a Miata/small Jaguar. If they went with this design originally I don't think I'd have a FR-S today.

I know I wouldn't have one. I don't think it's bad, but it's not something I care for in car design. As @Elkton86er said, its the reason I liked the Sky over the Solstice. I would have never owned the Pontiac, but seriously considered the Saturn.

It should not really come as any surprise that they are doing a semi luxury toned down version. Many people predicted that they would do something to widen the market. These are very certainly the style that was predicted to fill that spot.
I can't tell from the info we have but it appears that these are a JDM release only anyway so we may never actually see one.
The translation is pretty rough and hard to follow. Does anybody know if the top part is talking about regular production and the bottom about the Cb?

This car is on it's last leg here. What we need is an exciting engine, not a boring front bumper. cmon toyota, bump the HP up at least 40... Honda did it 17 years ago
