I'm not surprised at Toyota passing on the Detroit show. Sign o' the times. The Detroit show does not have the clout it used to. Not with the import brands, anyway.

I AM surprised at Toyota not showing off the concept at the LA show, however. I would have bet anything they'd want the car in import lovin' Cali.

New Delhi and not Detroit? Who knows what they're thinking.

I would totally take a road trip up to Detroit to see it. The show is a few days before my last semester in college.

I haven't heard officially either way. But, if everything 4agze said was true and there is only one concept FT-86 car which will be at the Tokyo Auto Salon, then there is no way that car is also going to be at the Detroit show because the dates of those shows overlap.

That would be a bummper. Next year's LA show is a whole year away. Can't believe Toyota doesn't care to show it live to north americans for that long. It would definitely keep up the buzz and press coverage if they showed it at some US autoshows.
