Sorry it took so long to chime in guys. I want to address a few of the questions associated with what I'm going to produce. This will be 100% Plug and Play. You will be able to remove this system completely and revert back to stock. You will not have to cut a single wire. I have yet to do all my homework but I predict these harnesses will be inline with the normal headlight assembly and/or fuse panel. There will be three different products created in this order.

Stage 1
*stock behavior - DRLs will be off while headlights are on.
*Lithium Behavior - DRLs will always be on full brightness

Stage2
*Pulse Behavior - DRLs will be full brightness while headlights are off. Once Headlights are on the DRLs will stay on but dim (not sure if I will make it adjustable or set to a standard PWM frequency.)

I cant discuss exact pricing at this point but I can certainly speculate. I know for a fact that the Lithium and stock Behavior will be the cheapest as they don't require pulse width modulation. All in all I believe the factory connections that we require to make this plug and play will be the majority of the expense. I hope to provide the stock and lithium behavior PnP harnesses for $50-100 dollars and the Pulse Behavior for $80-130 dollars. I hope to have exact pricing once I nail down a good source on our factory connections. I appreciate everyone's interest in this modification and I'm more than happy to help out, don't hesitate to ask any questions or give suggestions.

In for stock behavior (but as with others, if it can be worked out to dim the DRLs that's my bag)

My only reservation against doing this would be if the DRLs and boomerangs were vastly different in terms of color/intensity after modding.

Gauging interest in Plug n Play option for BRZ Boomerang to turn ON with DRLs...

Definitely Interested in purchasing asap. I would love to have either the stock option and the dim option. Great thread Sportsguy!!! Lithium, also interested if we could figure out an easier way to achieve a brighter boomerang light.... I recently read the DIY to make it happen. But damn, a little nervous on even attempting it

To make the boomerang brighter you really need to open the headlights..

Realize that, but just wish it could be easier to have someone do it for a reasonable fee.

Understandable, it takes a special person to crack open a brand new headlight lol. As for making the DRLs brighter without opening the headlight itself is not possible. From what @Acree posted (looks like the current is reduced via a voltage divider?)the factory boomerangs are primitively controlled, he really did a great write up and I hope to do it in my spare time. Maybe he can give us his opinion on it, but even if we can drive the LEDs externally that Voltage divider will cause us trouble.

I'm interested too, custom behavior, depending on price.

I would also like to know if it's possible to convert the behavior afterward.

Thanks!
