terrible smell from bugs , Scion FR-S

So I was taking a trip through the country side and a huge wave of locust hit my car , the whole front bumper was covered in locust and so was my radiator , it's been about a week since then and I've cleaned everything off but it still smells awful. Is there any way to get the smell out of my radiator and bumper?

Take bumper off and radiator, spray them with a mild mild detergent, and pressure wash it? If it really bugs you, you can always spray it with a enzyme odor remover (costs like $1-10). It accelerates the smell bacteria so it might smell worse for a few minutes but ultimately, destroys the smell. Then just wash items contaminated with debris.

Or...you know, set it on fire!

Be careful using the pressure washer. Ive seen lots of cooling fins flattened by getting too close witg high pressure water.

Just in case you flatten the fins, try this tool: http://www.homedepot.com/p/AC-Safe-A...-901/100664958

Old school ....... again........

I'd suggest you spray the radiator with something like Pine Sol .......let it soak in ...... then hose if off with a garden hose.

Back in the day we would spray from the back of the radiator to blast off grasshoppers.

The bumper should freshen up with a car wash soap.

The A/C condenser is in front of the radiator, did the locust guts get past that and to the radiator? Anyway if you remove the front grill I suggest you spray it with this stuff from Home Depot, it is aluminum safe. Then use gentle hose water not with a spray handle and flush from behind. Just an idea.

There was some guy from Texas (he is not around anymore) that posted a pic of the front of his car and it was so covered in locusts you could not tell what colour it was.
