wow. 1000hp on a platform designed for 200... that's pretty wild. So I see you're upgrading the clutch but do you also upgrade everything else between clutch and the wheels (drive shaft, diff, axles, etc...)?

The Diff/axles are already upgraded (DSS 5.9) , Diff will be coming from mark Spencer. Driveshaft will be built by axle exchange. the transmission takes a bit of abuse. The larger Neo version of the transmission see's 600-750 regularly.

Trans tunnel is the standard stuff, cut out the bracing and fit in the new mounting setup.

How much of the stock functionality, ac, cruise control, power steering, gauges... are you expecting to maintain or do you think could be maintained with the Haltech?

There's a 1J car in South FL running on an Elite 2500 with everything working.

PS won't do it. Doesn't have the configurability with the CAN. You'll need an Elite... And someone knowledgeable with CAN systems.

I wonder is @MRS-Colin would be willing to sell his research so people could setup Motec's and HalTech et. al. to have stock functionality without having to repeat the hard part?

*Just spit balling, I have no idea how effective that would be for either party.

Think Collin was expecting someone else to do exactly what your saying.

If I have the CAN documentation from any ECU I can make it work with a BRZ/FR-S with my module. No reprogramming of the ECU needed.

That's not entirely true, not everything works on that car.

No CC, A/C works sporadically, no ABS, no traction control, I believe fuel gauge is on safe mode (full, middle, empty).

Just opt for a smaller turbo.

*(full, almost dry, never seen because you are stuck on the side of the road)

Right Rick?
