Afterall, even semi-trucks are raced, with their huge almost horizontal steering wheels...

Sit in a sports car, you'll instantly recognize it to be driver centric. Sit in your golf, well... you can always put a Recaro in your golf if you really want ahah.

But a good interior design is always when your hand instantly falls onto the shifter symbiotically. I still feel the FRS cockpit falls short to that of the mk4 Supra and even my sw20. The FRS seats are obviously tons better, but I prefer a "wrapped" feeling interior with the center console up high so your arm can lay flat to shift extremely comfortably. S2000 is another prime example of a wrapped type cockpit with the center console high for to relax your shifter arm on.

Econoboxes have econobox seating. /The end

Hi guys - I'm 6'1", 34" inch inseam

I'm wondering if there is a fix to raise the lower part of the seat to support my thighs better when driving. Right now I have some space between the seat and my thighs, which can be fatiguing.

I was thinking about finding some bolts with the same thread as the BRZ rails but longer, with a spacer between the floor's bolt-in position and the rails. I don't like that the rails would be floating though.

Any ideas?

I am 5' 7" with a 15" inseam. My junk hangs so low, pants have to be cut that way.

Drive man-spread with one leg in passenger seat to give room for groin. Slight seat tilt.

5' 11" 32/34 inseam depending on the pants. 34" shirt sleeves

Steering close to vertical , mid point extension. Seat two pumps up from bottom and maybe 2" ahead of all back position.

Windows open.

I didn't read all the posts but the preferred position when your shoulders are planted in the seat is to have your wrists on top of the wheel. Most people sit too far back.

Yeah, my positioning works out similarly to that. When my dad taught me to drive he basically said there should be enough arm length to the wheel that the arms are never completely flat/straight when holding the wheel comfortably. That just about means wrists on top of the wheel or maybe an inch or so further.

Fill the footwells with packing peanuts then pile them wherever needed.
Brush them back on the floor before getting out?

5'7 with 29 inseam. Track driving I had the seat full down and pretty seat forward enough to depress the clutch completely with a slight bend in the knee, steering wheel full down and as far towards the dash as possible. Seat back pretty much vertical. I close enough to where my wrists were over the wheel while my back and shoulders were flat against the seat. Normal driving I was a couple inches back with a slight recline in the seat, steering wheel was a close to the thumbs when reaching out. Was comfortable when driving four hour trips to nj

5'11, 34x34 jeans. Im a bit leggy (catcall)
My seat is a couple clicks forward from full rear.
A couple clicks of recline.
Max low.
Steering wheel is halfway down, fully extended.

I can depress clutch with a comfortable bent, but not so much that i get tangled in the wheel while doing heel toe stuff. It gets a little tight though. I find the closer i sit (slide in toward wheel) the more room i have for my giraffe legs. Its weird but it works. Car is super comfy and feels great cruising or spirited.

I was going to upgrade the seats, but i dont see a reason, unless i need lateral g support when i finally slide this thing at its first drift event. Still need to do that!
