I assume the Password JDM CF rear engine compartment covers required trimming to fit the gas hood struts? Planning on doing those 2 mods myself and would like to know. A quick search didn't clarify that.

That is correct, quite a bit of trimming, but it's not too noticeable

Just trying to get ready for the season. Way too many things to do, but I finally have the time to work on it.

Just a quick update, car will no longer be firestorm red in the next month or so. Had some clearcoat haze in my headlights so I'll be refinishing those soon. I need to remove all decals from the body of the car for the liquid wrap, but at least it will clean it up a bit.
Installed a Seibon carbon trunk recently and I have to decide if I want to reinstall the Varis wing or go ahead and sell it. If I do decide to sell the wing, I'd probably attempt to get my hands on the set of wheels I've had my eye on for a few years. We'll see though I have a bit of a hood gap by my fenders and I was hoping the fenders just needed to be adjusted, but it seems the hood is warped some - not the end of the world, but certainly noticeable. Installed a PTUNING 3" turbo-back last night, removed and sold the Invidia N1 as it was too restrictive to the turbo. Of course, the mid pipe is catted so, whatever. I'd just like to keep it as street legal as possible (emissions). The turboback I bought apparently was modified and the mid-pipe cannot be installed correctly with the VBand. Sucks because I'll either have to get the VBand flange welded on or just buy a new mid pipe. I think that's it for now. I still LOVE the PTUNING turbo, just haven't driven the car too much yet this year. Excited to get it all back together and finished up for the season! |
