Already boxed it up but it looked smooth to me. I'll try and get some more detailed pics this weekend though.

Unfortunately not until June 22nd as that is Dynosty's next available. I debated trying to borrow some equipment and doing the install myself but either way I would have to wait to take it their for the tune.

Dang you must be going crazy having to look at all those parts! I'd opt to install yourself but like you said, you have to wait for the time anyway.

Are you stilling planning on OFT?

The company tuners word isnt anything significant. The stage 2 kit should of been what the stage 1 kit is.

Your better off going with AVO for that price range. I dont trust a company like WORKS who tried to claim 10 WHP on there drop in filter then releasing a mid pipe for their axle back claiming it adds more power when other vendors did tests saying no power is added by adding a mid pipe in their R&D testing.

Thats 2 times already they made bogus claims on this forum. I wouldnt do any business with a vendor like them, that also avoids answering questions about heat issues in their development threads. Other vendors who have made a turbo kit for this car all are transparent and will answer almost any question we have asked them. Works has AVOIDED many questions regarding their kit/previous modifications to this car and out of all the vendors on this board. Works is the least transparent of all them. Every product they have released if someone asks a concerning question or asks them for the statistics to back it up they are nowhere to be seen. There are many better brands/kits to go with than Works kit.

Let the op buy this kit then when he runs into problems let him bitch and moan about it. Even when people have brought up legit facts. In the end, itll just be a we told you so situation. Heat for any car thats turbo'd or S/C'd is extremely important. Why do you think almost everyone who runs FI gets an oil cooler for their set ups. I wouldnt be surprised if this OP comes back posting he blew his motor or he runs into problems down the road due to heat issues. The gains on this kit are crap too compared to what other kits produce. And if the reason behind you ordering the kit is the carb approval, I highly doubt they will get carb approved. Even if it does the vortech kit is much better than this kit, even though it isnt a turbo atleast it has a centrifugal S/C.

Where does the kit boost pressure land on the efficiency island? Do you even know which turbo it is (specifically, not just GT28)?

Get logs showing that IAT's are dangerous in street driving (even spirited), and I'll listen. Until then, you're just yammering on without an evidence at all.
You do realize that 3300 is just for the kit and not including tuning and anything else you might need to make sure it runs well.

This kit looks like crap and they are avoiding answering legitimate questions. Any kit you see on this forum you should probably add another 1-2 grand once you factor in installation/tuning/other parts you may need.

I ran the mr2 with Touge.ca at cayuga a few years back. What's your issue? You've also proven to many of us here that you clealry have no direct experience with anything turbo. Seriously, all I see is a keyboard mechanic just reading and reposting what you find on the interwebs. Where is your direct experience?

Anybody that knows me knows that I build first and foremost for reliability. Power comes second. You clealry have know grip of knowledge surrounding turbo cars and how they behave if you're kinned to Works stage1 kit. It put down a measly 250whp ON E85 is what they said. Seriously, if you're into cheap thrills and only need a tiny bump in hp to satisfy for pulls here and there, you've got ESC Phantom written all over you. I can't even begin to imagine what a stage1 works does on pumpgas. Yikes!

You drive a 165whp frs, stop posing like you're a race car driver and please stop recommending what people should do in a FI application when you yourself don't even have any direct experience. Look, I get that you don't like me, but save face bro, you're making yourself look terrible.

There's so much more I can say but I'm on break at work.

My opinions on the stage 1 works kit is that it is trash. Do it right the first time and go stage2. Hell, even fab an a2a setup for the stage 1 if you don't want the complexities of an a2w system. But most importantly, intercooling is absolutely a necessity to turbocharging.

I'm done.
Lots of people see the stage 1 kit as trash. I agree with you and think this guy has never owned a turbo charged vehicle

They're probably still shocked by the number of jerks replying in this thread. I can't say that I blame them.

Hey everyone sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, I had a set back and had to push the install date back until late August. I'm graduating early August and am currently going through the hiring process with the ATF and needed to put the install on the back burner for a little bit.

I also put an order in for a second car and will be getting a 2016 DGM WRX to keep the FR-S company. Needed a second car that is more practical and a tad more professional looking.

Will update as things get closer! Thanks!
