Alright so we found a few things since the dyno, the boost leak was at the intercooler, for now it's handled but I am working on a better solution as I think it could happen again. The Outlet is not long enough to hold the clamp basically so instead of fitting before the lip it fits cover the lip, I basically need a smaller clamp.

However we took it to SIR only to run out of E85 while trying to keep the car light. It took a lot of playing around trying to get the car to launch and react the way we wanted. We still did not get what we hoped but it did a 13.2@113mph as it's best. No where near what I want but next time around I think we will have better luck. Every time we work out a few more things and get it closer.

I kept trying to set the launch control level and it was not responding so I am going to see if @moto-mike can just set it at 3800 for me and we can start there but using the cruise control stick I could not get it to go down at all.

As for the Vette, it's good to go again so if it doesn't sell by the 14th it should be on the dyno again.

So I am FRS-less as of tonight... dropped it off to have the damage caused by the glass company fixed. Going to take about a week. My wife's work is handling it (Dealer) they are also repainting the front bumper for me which I will be covering almost immediately to prevent any rock chips from happening to it again. (Thinking about just using clear plastidip anyone done that?)

They will be repainting the whole side of the car (Passenger side) which is nice since I had gotten two scratches on that side. But I hate it being somewhere else... at least I can check on it when ever I want.

But in other news I bought the FD's Swap Harness, PCM, Headers, Mounts, Motor (LS1, LS6 Milled Heads, Cam) and a few other things. Still haven't sold the Vette but soon. I am almost thinking about pulling the 408 out of the Vette putting in this LS1 and keeping the 408 for the FD but that's a lot of work... meh.

Either way productive day it seems... we shall see.

Alright I got the FRS Back while it was in the shop we put in the new Spyder Tails... I am still not sure how I feel about them I am giving them a chance for now.

Saturday I hit the track again, lets see if I can get in the 12's with everything running right. That reminds me I need to talk to @moto-mike.

I guess it is time to update everyone!

The car is down, unfortunately while driving home at partial throttle the car experienced an issue with the ECU losing control of the cam timing and pushing it full advanced which caused damage to the engine letting coolant into the oil among other things.
I am fighting with Toyota since it is a common issue with a TSB out but the problem is there is not a real fix and they are arguing that my turbo made the damage worse which frankly could be true.

Either way seeing that this could happen to me again and I was not even over or just at 400hp I couldn't bring myself to chance it again with another FA20 so I decided to pull it out and do an LS1 Swap. (I also happen to already have a modified LS1 sitting here with wiring harness, pcm and other pieces)
Right now an engineering friend of mine is handling the swap, after that it will be wiring time because I want everything to work correctly. Once I have that another local will be fabricating the headers for it.

This is not going to be the quickest swap but I am shooting for 4-6 months. Let's see if that happens. I will post pictures as we go along.

This means my full turbo kit, header, EcuTek, Perrin Pulley, Trans and other pieces will all pop up for sale. A local already paid for the block I am hoping to have it out this weekend.

For the complete Turbo kit I am think 4000. This includes everything from the header back (Including the over pipe I made) and the intercooler, map sensor (4 Bar), 770cc Injectors and a brand new Grimmspeed Electronic Boost Controller I never even got installed.
Mike at Moto-East will take care of you tune wise he knows the car's setup top to bottom on E85 and he can handle anything you need!

Thanks again guys and I will of course keep you updated. I will always have an FRS but it looks like it's time to push the limits with a V8 swap.

On another note we bought Cheyenne her own race car last Friday. It was not the Trans Am she wanted because the same close friend who is doing the fabrication decided to sell his Camaro to buy a built Trans Am for more. The Camaro we bought her is an 02 SS SLP that has a Viper Spec T56, 12 Bolt Rear End (No Rear End worries here) and a 6L Swap that we will be making changes to soon (Heads and a Different Cam). It has full interior and a nice line lock. It needs a little clean up but nothing major and she is really enjoying it.
This weekend we should have some pictures up for everyone to see and I am sure she will be in a few of them for those of you who would like to see her again.

Sucks to hear about the engine. LS swap should be pretty fun though - keep us updated!

I have been selling off parts, buying parts, (Still have the turbo kit, spyder tails, trans etc for sale check the FS Sections) and making progress.

The Wiring harness is in progress with Weapons Grade Performance.
The LS1 is sitting here ready, LS1 Short Block Comp Cam, Milled 243 Heads with Crane Gold Adjustable 1.7 Roller Rockers, Underdrive Pulley, Spec Clutch with Light Flywheel.
I bought a Tick Stage 2 T56 with Billet Input shaft that I will be putting in the Vette and giving the FRS my Vette's T56. I also snagged a Hurst Shifter for it.
A Set of Headers to test fit with.
New Rims Staggered Axis 5 Spokes, 9.5 in the rear should allow me to get a 275 under the car in the rear.
LS2 Ported Intake (Porting done by CPR in Phoenix) and an LS2 90mm DBW TB.
Lot's of other supporting mod's and upgrades as well.

I am thinking about changing the cam as the one that is in it is a smaller cam and I do not plan on doing anything more after this swap besides strengthening the shell and a rear diff upgrade.

Either way I really should take pictures but I hate it being taken apart... maybe this weekend.

So in other news, I just setup to trade my LS1 Setup for a 383 Stroker LS1. Now that's perfect... except now I am sure the Diff will be on borrowed time lol.

Either way I look forward to getting that here in the next week or two. Thought that was an update worth sharing.

So today I got my swap harness from Weapons Grade Performance and all I can say is I am less than pleased.

This is nothing more than a harness I could have had any number of other shops create for any LS Swap into another vehicle. This is not a plug and play. I sent the FRS PCM and Harness, the PCM came back externally damaged and the harness is no where to be found. (Hints the lack of plug and play)

The cost to make the LS Swap harness was 470.00 out of the 1000 I sent. I had local shops who do this I went with Weapons Grade for the simple fact I wanted plug and play, I wanted everything working and I made this clear in every phone call, message and text with WGP. So for an extra 530.00 I was supposed to get that. Instead I am sent back a damaged PCM and no plug and play harness after this long of a wait.

I am trying to get answers at this time as to why things are this way but I have a feeling I just got screwed out of my factory wiring harness for the FRS and I not only need that but a new PCM...

So far I have gotten the response "That's Odd" and "Those morons didn't finish it" and that is it. I am assuming he is looking into it (Doug from WGP) but at this point I am still upset because look at this situation that was started because I wanted a no issues easy electrical setup instead of fighting with it myself.
Here is to hoping it get's handled quickly. I have all the old Text's and I went through them, they say I want a full plug and play and he tells me what I need to send and what he does to make it that way so we were without a doubt both on the same page.

So as of right now, Doug has let me know he will handle a shipping label back and find where my missing FRS harness is so he can have the harness finished. Good news, we are still talking about the PCM damage but for now he appears to be quick to handle it. That's definitely something to be thankful for.
He just told me the Under Dash PCM is the only one to worry about this one is of no concern in the swap so that's good news I guess except I couldn't sell it but oh well I don't care about that, so long as everything works that is all I care about.

Please tell me they didn't seriously just ship you back your DI controller in an unpadded big box like that with nothing else in it. Seeing as how your LS motor won't have DI, that is definitely not needed.
