I've looked into Beowulf clusters rather superficially, but think if I get serious into it I would do something like when ever I upgrade a workstation, link the old one in parallel. Linux sounds pretty cool for stuff like that.

Because 2 cars; because savings; because mod money; because ugly Civic; because not as awesome as what you currently DD (wtf DO you DD?); because Hondead; because Virtually Torqueless Economy Car; because buy an AWD Subaru for the same money.

A couple of reasons why.

Don't want to drive BRZ in the winter, therefore, need a second car.
Currently driving my parents' V6 Camry. It gets 18MPG. WTF?
Because Civic gets 35MPG+ easy. Some people get >40.
Because double wishbone suspension.
Because Civic parts are a dime a dozen, therefore, maintenance should be cheap.
Because I don't care for torque for a commuter car.
Because Subaru AWD can't even touch Civic MPG.

Torque should be your primary concern as a commuter car where you have to get moving from stop lights constantly. Dat low end!

Double wishbone? Cool. It's a DD...are you racing? Do you need a better camber curve?

Maintenance? Agreed.

Subaru AWD? Doesn't it snow? You should be able to get at minimum 25 city out of a naturally aspirated Subaru.

To each their own. As long as it can get me up to 60MPH safely. Acceleration isn't a concern.

Looking for used Civics because of price and fuel economy. It just so happens they're double wishbone. Bonus points. I do have the intention of bringing it to a track someday.

It does snow, but the roads are plowed very quickly. Maybe a handful of days of actually driving in the snow in one year. Also see MPG benefit.

Perfect DD car, IMO. I had an EG hatch. Fit a dishwasher in it. Try that with the twins.

Price seems a bit high, though.

I called earlier today and the manager said he could accept 6,7xx. I'll try again tomorrow morning to see if he can sell it for 6,6xx. It's still a bit high, but it's almost impossible to find one this mint these days.
