Send a message via AIM to FRSport.com
If you can't source a used header, I've got the Gent5, Tomei and XForce header in stock. Let me know if I can help!

Get the gruppe-s header , It's basically tomei but no branding, and it's high quality and cheap.

Second that, get the gruppe-s new for the price of a used tomei or less, and get an equal product. So far I've had mine on for almost 55,000 miles and haven't had even a whisper of an issue. I did high-temp ceramic coat mine locally before installation (FYI FWIW).

Do you recommend doing a coat or heat shield for the heat?

Ceramic coat at the least, why not both though? Heat is always the enemy lol. Do you mean a heat shield for the oil pan (I believe Gruppe-S offers one too) or like a titanium heat wrap? Because a heat wrap *can* hold water and help corrode your bare metal header, but if you coat and wrap it you'll have the most heat protection and less corrosion risk.
I can literally touch my header right after turning the engine off with just a ceramic coating though, so if it's one or the other I'd go for that... just keep in mind it's better to do a coating new because carbon buildup inside the pipes *can* hurt the adhesion of the interior ceramic coating. A good deep cleaning can basically negate that but that's more time and effort/money @dostoyevsky
