Green wire on passenger side seat

Any ideas what this green wire is? It connects under passenger seat so my guess would be for seat belt chime. Any help would be great before I just snip it off.

Why would you cut the wire when you can disable the chiming with a smartphone app? (carista)

I believe two stage airbags behave differently if the occupant is wearing their seat belt. This wire probably informs the module of this so that during an accident the airbag can go full blast knowing it won't kill the person.
