Quick question. Im installing Eibach Pro Kit. The rear spring has more coils on the top and the DIY says to install with the top having more coils ("he thinks"). To me it makes more sense to install with more coils on the bottom tho.

So for the rear, more coils on the top or the bottom? Heres a pic:

Would really appreciate a quick response to avoid downtime.

TIA!

Edit: This Hotchkis guide shows more coils on top as well (page 26).

Edit: This Hotchkis guide shows more coils on top as well (page 26).

So the reason for the tighter coils on the springs at the top is because that what your chassis is resting on. With the initial bump in the road, that's what'll compress more effectively. Now the entirety of the spring will see some movement, but the primary portion of the spring to handle the load of the sprung weight (vs the unsprung weight) is in that tighter section of coil. Get em installed and post some pix for us to enjoy there playa
