Yeah I would say it happens pretty often. On the stock tune the idle would drop below 500 and rev back up or it would go over 650 and drop back down. This is on a warm motor. Ive done some searching and it seems like alot of people have similar problems.
After the tune its gotten much better but it still looks like it's searching for idle

So I noticed the Firmware Version upgraded today on my unit to 1.16 does this mean we are just about to get Data Logging?

The firmware update is in preparation for new features. Datalogging being one of them. Still working through some things at this time. Looking good though...

Hey Shiv if I wanted you to tune for the phantom esc I'm receiving early next week, my only choice would be to visit you in SF?

I'd really like to develop a FI map on our own car first before doing FI tunes for customers. An FI map really needs quite a bit of longer term testing before it can be given to others safely. It's not something that I would feel comfortable with doing in an afternoon and then having the customer drive off. I'm currently in talks with Rob and waiting for an ESC unit myself. Once I get that installed, I'll whip up a good baseline and post it up for everyone to use

We will be dynoing the esc in about a week at the school I work at. I'll be happy to invite some visitors.

Sorry.. First day back from vacation so I'm still catching up on PMs. I don't feel comfortable with tuning any FI kits until we have one installed and tuned on our shop car. However that shouldn't stop any other tuner with prior experience from tuning such a kit with the OFT. In fact, I know of one ecutek tuner that is retuning an SC kit with the OFT tomorrow.

any tuner that should be touching your car should be able to do it fairly easily. The issue with Shiv not being able to provide them is because well, FI on n/a is tricky, and if he doesnt have the setup / car in front of him, things can go wrong very quickly. I have already looked at the base definitions and spotted the changes that could be made to support FI. The major things are just getting a higher reading MAP, any injector work needed, rescale all the Load axis tables, and on some of the compensation tables, add some more columns of positive pressure to better use those compensation tables(I was very loosely saying make it work). But from there, I would need the car in front of me to really make the rom any form of a Releasable FI base tune. I am sure alot of the optimizations made for the N/A tune get thrown out as FI basically makes that all null and void anyways. So basically its an entirely new tune not just a tweaked N/A tune.

Basically, shiv is doing this right, you should talk to your tuner.... If he cant make it work go find a new tuner.

Fair enough, but he's saying that he want's to do it on his own setup first.

I don't why that's such a big deal.

Shiv is managing his risk. This should make you happy.

Let's say something really bad happens.. like a blown motor. He would rather have that happen on the shop car.

Makes perfect sense to me.. seems like the responsible approach.
