Yeah I'm leaning that way. If only I could own both like you though lol.

I hear ya! Not sure how long I'll be able to though if I end up having to relocate. We will see, but for now it's great!

For a bit under 10k, we have a completely innocent looking sleeper, minus the single exhaust.

I've debating putting the stock catback back on.
Basically what I'm planning for a WRX if I jump ship to that platform.

My personal WRX is even more sleeper.

J pipe
Delicious flex fuel
Accessport/tune
STi LED headlights

The tuning is also much more developed at this stage; I make more power with less boost than when that post about the CSG WRX was made.

Awesome! I've got very good access to E-85 here.
If I can find a buyer for my car and parts... AP, J pipe, and FF would be my first mods. I really like the sleeper car setup

If you go that route, PM me and I'll get you set up with all the WRX stuff.

sorry if this seems like a dumb question but how does the wrx feel in a straight line compared to the twins. I live in an area with very little curves but plenty of straight line and so I was wondering what you guys thought of how the wrx felt.

Probably exactly how you think it would. The WRX hits a lot harder and a lot earlier, and it pullls nicely through the midrange. The twins are more about top end, but it's not a crazy frenetic top end.

I hear massive complaints about people who live in real cities with traffic about the WRX. The clutch being way too stiff if in stop and go traffic for twenty minutes. Sometimes I am stuck for 30 minutes, but always at least 20 minutes. A car ride during the day is 1 hour 20 minutes, at night it is 40 minutes. Sometimes during the day it is 1 hour 50 minutes on a drive that is at night 40 minutes. Imagine an extra 70 minutes of traffic congestion with a stiff clutch? THis is what is pushing me away from getting one. The BRZ is like a feather but has good feedback. There really is no need for a stiff clutch mechanically. The crap is hydraulic!!

anyone have thoughts or experience on this? It felt quite stiff to push to me, but i only was "allowed" one test drive. Dealers on long island are ****s.

Anyone who thinks the WRX clutch is stiff, is comparing it to commuter cars. It's an AWD car with 265 hp and pretty good torque -- it has to endure a bit and will be on the stiff side. Even stock Evo clutches are way stiffer than that, so just imagine aftermarket options.

If it's too stiff, you might want to give up on row-it-yourself performance cars, because it doesn't get much lighter, except maybe the 370Z (long in the tooth and not competitive in its segment neither now nor when it was released) and BMW M cars (totally different price point).

a clutch can be as light as anyone wants to design it, being that it works on hydraulics. The size of the car is near meaningless. A 50,000 lb diesel truck clutch can be made similar pressure to a WRX clutch.

The mini clutch is tougher than the GTI clutch and one clearly is heavier construction as well as bigger car.

WRX has a needlessly stiff clutch.

Armored tanks have clutches. Think about that.

Everyone has an opinion, and mine isnt worth more than anybody elses.

But the 15+ WRX clutch in my opinion is a very easy weighted clutch. I only know of one other AWD car that is less, the new Golf R. Everything else is either stiffer or about the same level. The clutch of a C5 vette, 13 Camaro 1LE, EVO, Focus RS and all the aftermarket ones i have installed were all stiffer, tougher than my '15 WRX. But compared to a Miata, S2000 and the BRZ...yeah the WRX is stiffer than those.

Sounds like a lot of clutch companies have a job ready for you.
