Stock Taillight Appreciation Thread

I think I'm one of the few who actually love the stock tails. I like the rotary phone circular pattern that makes the car look like a mini Ferrari at night.

I don't think I could ever put aftermarket tails on my 86. Buddy Club and Valenti make me want to puke personally. I don't mind Toms, those are cool.

I think if I was forced to modify my taillights I'd probably go with the smoked Grazio's. Still the stockies just reconditioned.

But for the meantime I'm very happy with the stocks. Who's with me?

I think the stock tails look good depending on the color of the car.

Certain colors like Hot Lava and Whiteout tend to look better with aftermarket tails in my opinion.

I like the stock tails on my car, but I would switch to red Toms if they were free.

Add in the new @Diode Dynamics taillight mod and I'd say the OEM lights have something going.

I had TYC Colin tails but sold them and went back to the OEM tails.

There's something about the OEM tails that look good. They're also reflective from straight on and look sweet during the day and beastly at night.

Only aftermarket tails I'd swap for is TOM'S.

I have white 86 and like you, I personally think the stock lights look really nice. Especially on white.

Toms look OEM and the stock ones look after market (to me)

My favourite lights would be the clear Toms. Clear Toms with the clear Valenti reverse light makes me drool and would likely be the first cosmetic mod I'd go for.

That link is from one of our vendor's with the reverse light

Hey, engineers and other problem solvers am I the only guy that wants to ask WHY 5 times when I see these? (if you are not required to do root cause analysis this joke will make no sense at all)

I don't mind the stock lights, but I hated them clear. A few coats of Nightshade VHT red and clear coat fixed that.

You guys have better looking stock tail lights in US. You have the red part in the side of the light..

European lights are different, more disgusting chrome..

I always loved the stock tail lights. However only with a black housing.

I ended up getting valentis and i'm in love.

Got the V reverse light to match.

Yeah I also prefer the US tails with the red part on the side of the light. Toms are my favorite though.
