and this shows the effect the header is having. It's a solid mid-range boost, +50nm at 4000rpm from the header will definitely be noticeable, just a shame it seems a little loud with it fitted.

edit: the header (+tune) is the only difference for stage 1.3.

If you're running the supercharger, catback and mid pipe but not the header (i.e. stage 1.2 + superchager) do they have a tune for that I wonder?

Surely you could run the 2.1 tune with this combo?

OK you may not be getting the most out it but it'll run and drive just fine

So... what is the output rating for the 2.1? Is it any higher than with stock exhaust?

The catback starts at about :30. After that they install the header (still with factory mid-pipe) and the sound immediately got raspy.

Have you tried using your factory header with the Cosworth/Nameless OP back? That might be a decent sound without too much restriction in flow. Another option is going with a catted header. Bump up the flow while dulling some of the rasp.

As far as overall flow and power, if it's an apples to apples comparison, we might be able to deduce from the other FI kit dynos out there what size exhaust can support what power levels.
The factory header is never going back on if I can help it... a catted header might be a good idea for some one whois going to go FI but has not already purchased the cosworth header... I would think you would need a custom tune at that point.
I'm going to purchase the Q300 and see if that helps...If some one is not going to go FI...the cosworth or nameless cat back is with out a doubt the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard..that's not exageration..on throttle lift off it makes a low baritone moan that is very unique.......

I guess that's the question, I thought there was just a 2.0 tune; supercharger and nothing else and a 2.3 tune I.e. 1.3 mods plus the supercharger = 2.3

Tbh there don't seem to be many running *any* of the cosworth mods let alone the supercharged setup yet. I mailed fensport for info as they've taken 1.2 and 1.3 off their website albeit they still have the components listed, didn't get a response.

Cosworth recently streamlined their distributor network and removed a LOT of vendors who were not moving much product. Just like any relationship that ends, this is going to sting a little for some, so be prepared for that attitude in regards to their product.

I think that the complete 1.2, 1.3 kits have been discontinued as it was a bit complicated

however you buy a 1.0 kit and then add 0.1 , 0.2 etc to it as required

This is correct.

The 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 product groupings are no longer being sold.

What you have now, as @350matt expressed, is the Stage 1.0 Power Package available by itself (air filter, thermostat, EcuTek license, and calibration files) and the exhaust components available separately, 0.1 (catback), 0.2 (mid pipe) and 0.3 (exhaust manifold), to be used in conjuction with Stage 1.0 or by themselves.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification! I wondered if that was the case- the fact that you get all the cal files with 1.0 explains things!!

The tricky part is, everyone seems to be selling the kits for MSRP. With no discounts to be had, people will generally stick with a preferred vendor so the others won't get much traction (no pun intended). Here's an example, the 3 components I'm looking at exhaust wise will be ordered from 3 separate vendors. Why? In the end it will save me $600 (20%) off MSRP. Would it be easier to get them all from one, sure, is it cost effective, not even close. The plus side is, each vendor makes some money. On the other hand, if they all sold for the same price one vendor (my choice) would get the sale for all 3 components and the other 2 wouldn't get anything.

For general sales numbers, it goes back to that MSRP. It's admittedly high. Not starting a debate like what went on in the other thread, just an observation. So from a marketing standpoint vendors lose the demographic of not necessarily 'impulse buyers' but those that are on the fence and could be swayed by a few bucks off here and there. Tie into that people KNOW there is definitely wiggle room in the pricing (who pays MSRP for anything unless they 'gotta have it') and as soon as we see vendors cutting prices competitively I bet the kits will start to move.

Also, I could be wrong on this part but, these are not a 'stocked' item. That is, the vendor doesn't have to lay out a ton of money and have these things sitting on shelves until they sell. Instead you pay the vendor who then places the order with Cosworth to have the kit drop shipped. If this is the case, there is very little, if any, overhead which again means there is wiggle room to make the pricing more appealing.

There's probably a lot more to it but this is just my perspective on it, your mileage may vary.
